Job description

Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Financial Analyst, internally known as Financial Analyst who will perform financial modeling for potential investments and operational support activities for the client’s portfolio of companies and other potential investments. The role's primary responsibilities include financial modeling and analysis of income statements, balance sheets, cap tables, exits/valuations, and waterfalls.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Central Daylight Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

Essential Functions

  • Own and update analytical reports and dashboards used by management and leadership teams and communicate them effectively
  • Develop financial models for potential investments
  • Support reporting and valuation processes at an investment firm

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with complex financial modeling in some form of finance
  • Understanding of legal concepts like investment terms is needed, or at least the ability to learn them quickly
  • Accounting/Finance knowledge is required
  • Previous experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking is nice to have
  • Advanced computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable explaining and reviewing their work in-depth, presenting it clearly, writing clearly
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail, and accuracy, personally committed to work quality
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
