Job description

An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is looking for a Senior Kernel developer to join its team!

The company's products are used by thousands of companies around the world, including Dell, GoDaddy, IBM, Zoom and many others. You will be working on the fastest growing product providing automatic kernel security updates without rebooting for the most popular Linux distributions.

Tasks
  • Supporting existing functionality and implementation of several new features
  • Updating existing kernels including security fixes and CVEs patches
  • Developing and supporting Python and Bash scripts for task automation

Requirements

    • 3+ years of Kernel experience in recent jobs
    • 4+ years of C programming experience and debugging skills
    • Good level knowledge of Linux kernel core subsystems
    • Experience with GDB and other debuggers
    • Proficiency in Git for development and patch/branch management
    • Experience with Python, Shell scripting
    • English B2+

Will be a plus:
  • Expertise in CPU performance and power analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of CPU and cache architectures
  • Basic understanding of x86-64 Assembly (AT&T asm)
  • Basic understanding of x86-64 ABI
  • Experience with Python and shell scripting
  • Prior exposure to Jenkins
