Job description

For one of our best clients in Barcelona, we are looking for a senior Data engineer with over 5 years of experience, who has worked in retail and has strong knowledge and experience in data integration and structuring.

Duration and dedication:

1 year + extension
Full time

Daily Tasks:

Maintain the integrity of the existing data model.
Improve the model and create new data structures.
Interact with the internal team, as well as integration teams, analysts, and data scientists.
Must be capable of designing a data structure that is flexible and scalable.
Will work at a global level (for the 11 brands) from headquarters.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in data structuring and transformation [Data Architect, ETL Developer, Data Quality Engineer, Data Security Engineer].
Experience in data structures and knowledge of business workflows.
Knowledge in programming languages (Python and SQL).
Knowledge and experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka).
Knowledge and experience in Database Management Systems - Relational [SQL, PostgreSQL] and non-relational [MongoDB, Cassandra].

Preferred:

Data Architect, ETL Developer, Data Quality Engineer, Data Security Engineer.
Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools, DBT.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience with Jira / Confluence.

Soft Skills:

The candidate will need to interact with stakeholders and require diplomatic skills-being a good communicator capable of conveying requirements, interactions, and so forth.
Secondly, the person should have principles and a sense of teamwork. If they come to the office, the team is very cohesive, so their interaction should not disrupt the balance. The person should know how to relate to others and be ingrained in teamwork.
