Job Title: Locum Remote Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist

Rate:
£28-34 per hour

Opening Paragraph:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6/7 Locum Adult Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Shipley. This role offers the flexibility of remote working while providing specialized speech and language therapy services to adult patients. If you have a strong background in managing communication and swallowing disorders and are looking for a flexible working arrangement, we encourage you to apply. This position is available immediately and offers both full-time and part-time options for a duration of six months.

Responsibilities:
As a Band 6/7 Locum Remote Adult Speech and Language Therapist you will be  responsible for triaging the Trust’s waiting list and providing specialist speech and language therapy services to adult patients in the community. This includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to address communication and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, participate in clinical audits, and contribute to the development of speech and language therapy services. Your role will also involve providing remote consultations and support, ensuring continuity of care for patients who require ongoing therapy. Equipment necessary for remote working will be provided.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience in providing speech and language therapy services to adults, particularly in community settings.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in speech and language therapy.
  • Experience in remote working and providing virtual consultations is desirable.
