Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the system architecture landscape, identifying discrepancies between current and desired states, and deliver a comprehensive solution to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Align functional requirements with Salesforce features and functionalities.
  • Develop advanced custom solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.
  • Lead development efforts and assist in solution design, discussing trade-offs such as configuration versus code.
  • Offer guidance on the choice between clicks (configuration) and code/customization for requests.
  • Demonstrate prototypes and conduct demos for business users.
  • Share best practices on solutions and implementation, mentoring junior team members in Salesforce technology, Force.com, Lightning components, integration technologies, and Salesforce best practices.
  • Conduct code/design reviews to ensure adherence to high-quality standards and design patterns.
  • Oversee developer unit testing (QA) to ensure quality.
  • Understand data sharing and visibility considerations in platform architecture.
  • Follow modern software development lifecycle best practices, including iterative and incremental development, delivering working software frequently, and maintaining technical excellence.
  • Stay updated on new Salesforce products and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions.
  • Implement best practices for environment management, release management, code versioning, and deployment methodologies.
  • Effectively debug and resolve technical issues and defects.

Minimal Requirements:

  • Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Service, Community, and Sales. Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce with hands-on experience in Salesforce clouds, integration, data management, Apex/Visualforce/LWC, and Flow.
  • Familiarity with integration using REST and SOAP.
  • Strong grasp of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with various business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.).
  • Understanding of platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth) and experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL).
  • Active Salesforce certifications or willingness to obtain them upon hiring.
  • Familiarity with AppExchange products like Adobe eSign, Conga Composer, Marketo, Clari is beneficial.
  • Participation in at least three major Salesforce projects/implementations.
  • Minimum of five years of Salesforce experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
