Engineering Manager, Consumer

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage full-stack engineering teams to develop features, services, and infrastructure for web and mobile platforms.
• Mentor your team members, enabling their positive impact on the organization and supporting their career growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate our vision into a tangible roadmap, breaking down complex projects into manageable tasks and guiding the iterative design and implementation process.
• Act as a technical leader, contributing to architectural decisions, fostering a culture of high-quality code, and ensuring successful delivery and operation of distributed systems.
• Drive talent acquisition efforts to identify and recruit exceptional engineers who align with Coinbase's culture and contribute to our products.
• Take ownership of processes that drive engineering quality and meet our SLAs.

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in engineering management.
• Strong understanding of high-quality code and effective software engineering processes.
• Execution-focused mindset, capable of delivering results amidst ambiguity.
• Hands-on approach when necessary, whether it's writing code, participating in incident response, or troubleshooting bugs.
• Experience leading product teams and familiarity with technologies like React, React Native, GraphQL, Golang, Kubernetes, and MongoDB is advantageous.
• Previous involvement in building financial systems or microservice architecture is a plus.
• Familiarity with derivatives trading systems is beneficial.
