Job Description

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Manage assigned projects (both software/products and/or infrastructure projects) and the production of relevant project deliverables and artifacts
  • Identify project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate, in a timely manner
  • Manage the expectations and satisfaction of the stakeholders
  • Implement effective change control by ensuring project change impacts are assessed and communicated so all parties are aligned
  • Ensure project resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date
  • Develop and distribute timely status reporting with key metrics to appropriate stakeholders
  • Follow and align with the organisation’s processes, governance framework and best practice
  • Own and engage in all stages of the agile development process – planning, stand-up, show-and-tell and retrospective ceremonies
  • Work closely with the product owners to ensure the backlog is sufficiently prioritised for the next iteration
  • Manage, coach and motivate the project team
  • Communicate with openness, honesty and respect in all situations and be adept at conflict resolution and direction setting

Qualifications

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY TO THIS ROLE?

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the area of IT Advisory projects as subject matter expert and/or project manager,
  • Deep understanding of the business model of at least two industries: banking, telecommunication, energy, insurance, production, retail,
  • Deep understanding of current digital transformation, IT delivery, and complex project/program methodology trends,
  • Capability of intervening, if needed, in larger projects, even correcting the work of subject matter experts,
  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record as a leader,
  • Very good presentation skills,
  • Strong English skills (both written and verbal) and Hungarian native language knowledge is a must,
  • Capability of creating concepts, methods for non-predictable situations and engagements is an advantage, however not required.

WHAT IS GOOD TO HAVE?

  • Proven track record managing IT engagements (projects) in major of the following areas: system implementation (ERP, CRM, BI, core banking, BSS/OSS), IT organizational and operating model, technical subject matter projects (ie. architecture related),
  • Experience in working with C level executives,
  • IT advisory / Business consulting experience (Big4 or top-tier consultants) or large company CxO level support background
  • Experience in consulting related sales processes,
  • Experience in working with public sector companies is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data management methodologies and/or tools
  • Understanding of data analysis methods, technologies, and their application possibilities (Big Data tools, Machine Learning, data management tools, etc.)
