W-2 Full Time Salaried Position

100% Remote - Must reside in the US full time

Brandt Information Services, the leading provider of SaaS technology and marketing services for state wildlife and parks agencies, is paving the way to better communicate and serve the public through their journey to go camping, fishing, boating, hunting, or hiking on public land. At Brandt, we build and improve upon the customer journey for public users buying campground reservations, fishing and hunting licenses, boat registrations, educational event tickets, and the list goes on. State funds generated go back into conservation and outdoor recreation improvements.


Brandt is seeking a SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in database development, with proven experience with Transaction SQL and a strong history of developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries, stored procedures, and UDF's.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Relational Database Programming in Microsoft SQL Server including developing and troubleshooting T- SQL database objects such as stored procedures, functions, views, triggers.
  • Developing and deploying SSRS reports, creating and tuning the underlying T-SQL stored procedures.
  • Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot ETL processes
  • Performance tuning in Microsoft SQL Server including identifying performance bottlenecks and providing suggestions on how to address issues found.
  • Developing and troubleshooting SSIS Packages
  • Performing data modeling and database design and providing technical expertise to team.
  • Maintaining data quality and integrity.
  • Work with QA and BA to help identify, troubleshoot, and correct data related issues.
  • Work with the architecture committee to implement new product features.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement to overall system performance.


Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in database development.
  • Proven experience with Transaction SQL, with a strong history of developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries, stored procedures, and UDFs.
  • Experience working in live transactional systems, collaborating closely with application developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal database performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server versions 2008R2/2012/2014/2016 or later
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and document complex technical solutions related to data management.
  • Deep understanding of database indexing.
  • Experience creating and implementing ETL processes.
  • Experience with Cloud-based DB solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure SQL experience a plus.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse a plus.
  • Power BI Development experience in Report Builder, Dashboards and DAX queries a plus.
  • Must successfully clear a Level II fingerprint background screening (required by certain Brandt customer contracts).


Location:

This position is a full-time remote position. The standard work hours for this position will follow Eastern Standard Time. All equipment required to perform the job responsibilities will be provided by Brandt.
