Staff Accountant

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client for a temporary, remote opportunity! As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounting department's core functions, including expense reimbursement, accounts receivable, sales order and invoicing support, accounts payable, and communication through email and digital mail management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. This role offers $33-36/hour depending on experience!

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant Include:

• Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage accounts receivable, maintaining timely follow-ups and initiating escalation as needed.
• Process sales orders and customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Submit non-standard invoices through customer portals, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable, including ledger review, payment scheduling, and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Relevant prior experience in accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Expensify is a plus.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and software.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team, in a fast-paced, remote environment.
