Job description

You’ve climbed your way to success. Now it’s time to help others reach their peak.

Vistage is the world’s leading executive coaching organisation for SMEs. For over 65 years we've been helping CEOs, business owners and key executives solve their toughest challenges. Challenges you’ll be familiar with as a leader yourself.

Pivotal to this success are Vistage Chairs. Influential business leaders who build and run Vistage peer groups for high achievers from non-competing businesses in the UK. Some of our member businesses are fast-growing start-ups. Most have turnovers between £5m-£50m+ Either way, Vistage members all have a thirst for learning and improving. Qualities you’ll share.

What makes a great Vistage Chair?

Entrepreneurial spirit, bold leadership skills and a passion for learning and mentoring. It’s what every leadership coach needs. But when it comes to your background, there’s no tick box.

Successful entrepreneurs and leaders often tread unique paths.

You may be a C-level executive located in the UK with senior leadership and P&L responsibility. You may be or have been a CEO yourself. Either way, you’ll be keen to step down from your full-time responsibilities and build a successful portfolio career or plural career.

At a Vistage Chair we’ll guide you on that journey, starting with 150 hours of training. You’ll also enjoy the camaraderie and support of an incredible community of Chairs. Being a Vistage Chair is more rewarding and sociable than typical NED roles. Many of our Chairs refer to it as the best job in the world.

Role of a Vistage Chair:

· Actively seek and recruit members for your peer group

· Commit to 30-40 hours weekly while building your practice (with our support).

· Facilitate group discussions and issue processing sessions on business topics

· Deliver monthly, high impact 1-2-1CEO coaching / executive coaching sessions

· Maintain an ideal group size of 12-16 members by delivering great member value

· Continuously top up your learning with sessions led by world-renowned authorities

Once your group is running, you’ll enjoy a healthy income which you can enhance with other non exec director roles. A Vistage Chair role is also a chance to elevate your personal brand and business status, and to ‘give back’ by helping less experienced leaders succeed.
