We’re looking for a Regional Account Manager to lead, coach, retain and recruit a sales team in West Toronto to successfully grow market share selling McGraw Hill Learning Platforms.
This role requires regular travel across the territory which includes Hamilton and Mississauga. Candidates must reside within the territory to be considered for the role and have a valid driver's license for weekly travel to campus.
This is a temporary contract, full-time role for September 2024 through July 2025.
How can you make an impact?
Regional Account Managers are experienced leaders who are highly organized, motivating, and can drive sales performance and strategic planning for their territory. The ideal candidate is a fast learner that will take a multi-faceted approach to understanding the industry, competitive landscape, and customers to deliver solutions effectively. Strong presentation and storytelling skills are keys to success in this role and being a team player is essential.
What you will be doing:
Lead a sales team by developing and implementing sales strategies for new business and retention success. Complete territory planning to achieve sales targets and collaborate with Product, Marketing and other key stakeholders to win together.
Recruit, retain, and train a high-performing sales team creating a positive and collaborative environment. Set clear sales targets with daily and monthly goals and provide guidance to work towards an annual goal.
Monitor and analyze sales reports and sales performance data. Coach to effective pipeline management and sales volume, sales activity, and key performance indicators on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Canadian education institutes including Deans, Chairs, Bookstore Management, and procurement. Create connections that support the strategic plan including increasing Inclusive Access leads and channel optimization.
Support the training and development of newly onboarded sales team members and support the development of senior sales talent creating a unique path for everyone to grow.
Complete mid-year and annual performance reviews, support coaching plans, and deploy performance improvement plans where applicable. Provide guidance on time management, skill development and team development goals.
Cultivate a team approach working with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product and the Inclusive Access Manager develop and deploy winning sales strategies including McGraw Hill events, Sales Meeting Collaboration and involvement with team projects as we think of innovation and planning for future success.
We’re looking for someone with:
5 years of Learning Science industry experience, sales experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma
5 years of digital platform experience
Marketing strategy knowledge and strong communication skills
Goal-oriented mindset and ability to be a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
CRM Experience, preferably Salesforce.com
Driver's license and ability to travel is required
