Job description

Description

The Medical Records Indexer will be responsible for pre-indexing medical records within OnBase and Epic.

Review medical records and perform pre-indexing responsibilities involving heavy data entry in OnBase.
Use high attention to detail to input correct patient demographic information and document dates in OnBase.
Index documents to the correct patient encounters and/or patient charts in Epic.
Work independently and meet daily quality metrics related to speed and accuracy.
Exercise a willingness to learn and dedicated work ethic.

Required Qualifications

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma required.
Minimum 2+ years of applicable medical records indexing experience.
Must obtain a general working knowledge of Epic.
Must obtain a general working knowledge of OnBase.
Prior experience being held to and meeting quality metrics.
Attention to detail and critical thinking required.
Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer.
