This is a remote position.

Role Overview:

As a Localization Engineer, you will be integral in adapting and optimizing our products and content to meet the needs of diverse markets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and translators, to ensure seamless localization processes and deliver high-quality localized products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Localization Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement localization strategies and workflows for various regions.
  • Technical Integration: Manage and maintain localization tools, frameworks, and processes, ensuring seamless integration into the development pipeline.
  • Content Adaptation: Collaborate with translation teams to adapt and optimize content for different languages and cultural contexts, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of localized products to identify and resolve issues related to functionality, language, and cultural appropriateness.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manage localization projects, providing technical support and guidance to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to localization processes, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor localization trends and technologies, proposing and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in localization engineering or a related technical role, preferably with experience managing projects for multiple regions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in localization tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Crowdin) and experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and file formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to localization and product adaptation.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding of cultural nuances and localization best practices for diverse regions.
