Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Remote

Work Shift: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (USA Eastern Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations for a US e-commerce company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing demand planning, purchase ordering, freight and logistics, data analysis and reporting, Shopify administration, and invoice management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Planning:

• Manage the daily update of the demand planning model, incorporating changes to inventory, freight shipment delivery dates, purchase order delivery dates, sales trends, new SKUs, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights for continuous improvement of demand planning processes.
• Implement statistical forecasting methods to enhance accuracy in demand predictions.

Purchase Ordering:

• Oversee 1,000 SKUs to decide when to order ensuring compliance with lead times, MOQs, and other variables.
• Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize holding costs.
• Conduct regular SKU performance reviews and recommend adjustments as needed.

Freight and Logistics:

• Make decisions on quantities to be shipped via air or ocean freight based on inventory levels, lead times, and other relevant factors.
• Receive quotes and manage the entire freight and logistics process, ensuring smooth transportation of goods from the manufacturer to the US warehouse.
• Monitor and optimize shipping routes and carriers to enhance cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations affecting freight and logistics.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze Shopify, warehouse, and other key data points to create monthly and weekly reports for inventory analysis, returns processing analysis, and more, utilizing Microsoft Excel.
• Develop and implement data-driven insights to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
• Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Shopify Administration:

• Assist with Shopify administrative tasks as needed, including updating SKUs and optimizing operations.
• Collaborate with the e-commerce team to identify and implement improvements to the online retail platform.
• Stay informed about emerging e-commerce technologies and recommend their adoption as appropriate.

Invoice Management:

• Review invoices from various vendors, audit costs, and communicate appropriate payment information to leadership.
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms and resolving any billing discrepancies.
• Streamline invoice processing procedures to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain and operational roles for a US e-commerce company.
• Deep knowledge of logistics and freight processes, including established partnerships.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with Shopify and inventory management systems.
