National Polling and Market Research firm seeks Field Specialist (PACIFIC TIME ZONE).

Field Specialist

We are currently seeking a Field Specialist, an entry level role that helps manage data collection for market and opinion research. In this detail-focused role supporting qualitative and quantitative research projects, your efforts will ensure projects are properly timed and executed to meet unequivocal deadlines. We will depend on you to help manage telephone surveys, web surveys, intercept surveys and focus group studies to ensure appropriate research data is collected for analysis.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Assist with quality control for telephone surveys and online surveys

-Oversee vendor performance by monitoring telephone interviews

-Program online survey questionnaires in Qualtrics

-Proofread and test survey questionnaire programming in Qualtrics and Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) systems

-Use online interfaces to create demographic reports on survey populations

-Use tools including Excel and R to clean survey respondent lists and prepare them for data collection

-Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

 

This full-time hourly position provides a flexible schedule that includes some evening and weekend hours. The general expectation is that normal working hours for this position are 9am to 5pm PACIFIC TIME ZONEThe position is open to all applicants in the U.S.  EMC Research has offices in Columbus, OH; Oakland, CA; Seattle, WA; and Washington, D.C.   

 

This entry level position requires a self-motivated, data-focused problem solver who is interested in social behavior, public opinion and politics, and can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. EMC Research offers competitive salaries and generous benefits, overtime pay for hourly positions when required, and a highly collaborative, casual and fun work environment.  Salary dependent on experience and geographic location; starting salary range is $23 - $26 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associate’s degree, Bachelor's degree or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training

-High level of attention to detail

-Deadline driven and able to produce high-quality work within short timelines

-Excellent computer skills, including 1-2 years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database management tools, and the ability to learn new programs easily and effectively

-Effectively manages own time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently

-Critical thinker and problem solver

-Interest in public policy, politics, campaigns or non-profit advocacy
