What We Need

Cetera Financial Group is actively searching for a seasoned Manager of Quality Assurance to join our IT Organization, bringing deep expertise in wealth management technology. This role presents a distinctive chance to become a pivotal member of our QA team, contributing to Cetera's enhancement of efficiencies, cost savings, and productive collaboration with our vendors. Operating as a shared service entity, our QA organization plays a crucial role in supporting all products, platforms, and applications across the company. In this position, you will engage in close collaboration with IT, PMO, and various other interconnected facets of the organization, fostering seamless integration and synergy.

You will help with various QA methodologies, strategies, and overall quality assurance activities for existing projects, new projects, and often acquisitions that are monitor, report and plan process improvement or redesign initiatives, and make recommendations on changes as well as maintain workforce reporting to support the human capital across our organization. Collect and analyze data for supporting recommendations and manage formal process documents. Additionally, you will be involved in our vendor management, purchase order, onboarding, and project processes.

What You Will Do

  • Provide hands-on leadership for a team of Quality Engineers in an Agile development environment.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements for the Compliance and Risk Organization to be able to identify inconsistencies and gaps, therefore becoming an SME for many applications.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and also be able to delegate and manage Quality Engineers to do the same.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Organize and lead defect triage calls for Advice Works with QA Engineers, Developers, PO’s, BA’s, BSA’s and PM’s.
  • Lead and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, data testing for various complex programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing via collaboration with the Cetera Business and various Cetera Officers.
  • Manage quality of 3rd party vendor products
  • Analyze Prod defects, contribute to troubleshooting, and improve test coverage.
  • Define, track, and publish quality assurance metrics
  • Lead, mentor and coach QA work stream teams to be successful contributors.
  • Strategically participate and Lead automation and performance testing activities across multiple applications.

What You Need To Have

  • Over a decade of progressive experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to independently manage QA teams in the Fintech /Wealth Management industry for over five years.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of QA best practices, including requirements, tools, methodologies, and processes.
  • Deep understanding of quality engineering, release management, test environment management, test automation, test data management, testing approaches, and test execution.
  • Skilled in generating and testing technical requirements.
  • Proven track record in planning tests for complex features/systems.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adept at quick learning and problem-solving.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses exceptional critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong multinational, cross-functional team collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Capital Markets, Trading, and Financial principles and instruments. Brings both technical and strategic strengths to QA engineering, balancing detail-oriented work with strategic leadership.
  • Proficient in testing and validating data using SQL.
  • Experienced in utilizing test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, BrowserStack, etc.
  • Proficient in Atlassian Toolstack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with Testrail.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000, plus competitive performance-based bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
