BlueLabs' Commercial Practice plays a leading role within our Client Solutions Team, spearheading our engagements with major commercial clients. We partner with Fortune 500 companies to design and implement innovative solutions that leverage consumer analytics, influencer analytics, persuasion modeling, and experimental design.

About the role:

BlueLabs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to spearhead our efforts in securing substantial new client engagements with major corporations and Fortune 500 companies. The Managing Director will utilize their extensive network and business development expertise to drive significant revenue growth and identify new business opportunities for the organization, collaborating closely with departmental and organizational leadership to develop and deploy the overarching strategy for the Commercial Practice. The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, establishing strong relationships, and delivering innovative analytics solutions to high-profile clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing and managing large-scale client engagements within the Fortune 500 landscape, ensuring client satisfaction and delivery excellence. 

In this position, you will be responsible for:

Client Engagement and Growth

  • Leverage your network to secure new client engagements with major corporations within the first 90 days of hire, aligning BlueLabs' capabilities with client strategic needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the field of analytics.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of engagements, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality solutions that exceed expectations and drive measurable impact.
  • Lead engagement and growth strategy, driving the team to achieve and exceed its growth targets. 
  • Advocate for client needs internally, ensuring project success and contributing to BlueLabs' market positioning.

Technical Expertise and Communication

  • Expertise in communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on BlueLabs' offerings and technical capabilities, ensuring clarity and understanding within your portfolio, and the ability to effectively communicate offerings to potential and current clients. 
  • Serve as the final reviewer for proposals, pitch decks, deliverables, and related materials for both prospective and existing clients within the Commercial Practice portfolio. 
  • Prepare weekly reports detailing the status of new prospects and existing client relationships, and present updates to departmental and organizational leadership. 

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client engagements and delivery excellence.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of thought leadership content, showcasing BlueLabs' expertise and expanding the organization’s profile and visibility across the industry. 
  • Partner with the departmental and organizational leadership to develop and deploy strategic growth initiatives, assessing market trends, identifying opportunities, and translating strategy into action.
  • Lead and develop a Commercial Practice team, providing direct management, guidance, and support for their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in business development or consulting, with a demonstrated ability to secure and manage significant client engagements within the Fortune 500 landscape.
  • Deep understanding of consumer analytics, influencer analytics, persuasion modeling, and experimental design, with a passion for leveraging data-driven insights to solve complex business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with senior executives at major corporations.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve outstanding results.
