LOCATION:  Remote – this is a home based, virtual position that operates on US Eastern Standard Time within the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm. Vaya Health welcomes applications from NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, and FL. However, North Carolina clinical licensure is required for this role.



GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

The Senior Development and Implementation Analyst supports, monitors, and manages activities related to clinical strategies within the Population Health Division. Ensures specific programs and services are developed and implemented across the organization aligned with North Carolina’s transformation of the Medicaid system. This requires partnership with cross-departmental teams to ensure the success of implementation as well as provide status reports and communicate outcomes and achievements.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the implementation of services, programs, or initiatives under the direction of Clinical Strategies leadership.
  • Partner with the team to strategize operational adjustments, processes, and oversight to ensure success.
  • Lead meetings with external/ internal stakeholders related to development and implementation.
  • Development of new services or programs, including collaborating with a team to initiation
  • Implementation, oversight, and monitoring of continuous processes 
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve efficiency, quality, and procedures related to implementation and monitoring
  • Utilize clinical background to inform the development and implementation, while consulting with additional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the organization 
  • Document progress, include identifying any barriers and proposed steps for resolution
  • Provide education and support within the organization when implementing new services, programs, or initiatives
  • Organize and lead internal and external meetings, establish key deliverables, and provide status reporting on development/implementation based on the direction from the leadership
  • Identify areas of process improvement and works with appropriate teams to implement and measure success
  • Assist in the development of job aids and formal communication tools for internal staff that serve to foster seamless integration, increase awareness of, and ultimately, shared understanding of, the vision for clinical systems within Vaya



KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:

This position requires a high degree of autonomy, professional relationships, clinical skills, as well as the following:

  • Current knowledge of clinical practices and related information systems and computer applications 
  • Knowledge of Vaya Health operations to identify key stakeholder to engage for development or implementation
  • Knowledge of DSM 5 and ICD-10 or their derivatives
  • Knowledge of Medical and Behavioral Health provider workflows
  • Knowledge of Medicaid waiver criteria, including but not limited to eligibility for Vaya Health Plan, service definitions, entitlements and restrictions for state plan Medicaid services, 1915(b) and (c) Waivers, 1115 Waiver criteria and general knowledge of Long-Term Services and Supports   
  • Knowledge of Vaya Health organizational purpose/role per federal and state statute, strategic plan, leadership and 
  • Knowledge of Federal and state confidentiality requirements, member and staff health & safety requirements, and corporate compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of Vaya Health Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of Project management principles
  • Ability to problem solve, make necessary adjustments, and communicate findings to senior management to ensure successful outcomes
  • Ability to develop status/progress report to inform next step and ensure alignment across teams
  • Ability to utilize data to inform decision making including necessary adjustments
  • Ability to work across the Clinical Strategies team to identify priorities and adjust where necessary
  • Strong communication, including the ability to lead others to drive outcomes through a collaborative approach
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with external stakeholders as a representative of Vaya Health
  • Excellent attention to detail, plan, research, analyze, and coordinate projects of varying nature, extent, and audience
  • Ability to develop relationships with individuals at varying levels of the organization, including being able to provide direct feedback



QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in a Human Services field.  Must also have:

  • 4 years of Human Service experience 
  • Experience with the behavioral health population
  • Experience with Managed Care preferred.


Licensure/Certification Required:

  • North Carolina clinical licensure (HSP-PA, LCSW, LMHC, LPA, LMFT, RN, etc.) is required.
  • Maintain credentials including requirements for licensure (ex. CEUs).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification beneficial but not required.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparation and analysis of documents; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading. 
  • Physical activity in this position includes crouching, reaching, walking, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers. 
  • Sedentary work with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time. 
  • Mental concentration is required in all aspects of work. 



RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:  Must live in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, or FL. However, North Carolina clinical licensure is required for this role.


SALARY: Depending on qualifications & experience of candidate. This position is exempt and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
