We’re looking for a Backend Engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset to become a founding engineer building our Payroll product from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing

• Shaping the vision and direction for the Payroll product, pushing the boundaries to become a best in-class product within the B2B Revolut ecosystem

• Devising and building innovative features from scratch, shipping solutions that are not only functional but also elegant and scalable

• Owning dedicated modules within the Payroll product, and leading technical scoping with the frontend and backend team for your modules

• Building a high-performance core payroll engine and integrations with other HR softwares

• Creating robust data pipelines to power reporting, data science, and analytics

What you'll need

• Fluency with Java

• 6+ years of experience in back-end development

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field of study

• To be a quick learner with an ambitious attitude and results-driven personality

• The ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin and Scala

• Experience building payroll (or broader HR) products

• Experience in a start-up or scale-up

• Experience in a product-focused environment

Compensation range

• Vilnius: €4,900 - €7,500 gross monthly*

• Lithuania: €4,900 - €7,500 gross monthly*

• Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process

*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
