Who are we?

Wakam is a European B2B2C insurer that designs white label insurance products for its partners (e-retailers, brokers and fintechs/insurtechs, etc.). Our insurance products are embedded in the products or services offered to the end-customer. 

We operate in 32 European countries with the majority of our turnover generated outside France.

We provide most of our products through API, and hosts white label insurance solutions via our Play&Plug technology platform.

✎ Mission & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Corporate IT team. The team plays a facilitating role, essential within our organization, being responsible for the integration and maintenance of various data flows across multiple business domains such as accounting, finance, or claims reconciliation.

  • Using data management tools such as Databricks, PowerBI, or Excel.
  • Configuring and deploying automated workflows through Azure Logic Apps.
  • Executing numerous manual tasks.

With the company's growth and increasing business volume, it becomes crucial to scale up both the business and technological scope.

Main identified current pain points to solve :

  • Redundancy, errors, and inefficiencies in manual tasks.
  • Lack of observability across the entire IT Corporate scope.
  • Diminishing business dimension in favor of technical complexity.
  • Single points of failure threatening system sustainability.
  • Growing complexity of operational-level maintenance.

Challenges:

By joining a multidisciplinary team, the main issues to address will be:

  • Elevating automation of workflows to a better level of maintainability and scalability.
  • Optimizing workflow efficiency by reducing errors and improving processing times.
  • Reappropriation of workflows by business subdomains.
  • Focus of business experts on tasks with higher added value.
  • Support of data management tools migration.

 

✯ Profile requirements
  • Engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in information system design.
  • Ability to identify risks in a value chain and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of the .NET ecosystem is real plus but the ability to write understandable and maintainable code is a primar priority
  • Experience with cloud-provisioned environments, especially Azure is a plus but building, deploying and operating agnostic systems is essential
  • Proficiency in English and French (professional level).
