Job description

DescriptionThe Senior Revenue Accountant will play an integral role in revenue reporting and analysis of Norstella’s non-subscription based revenue streams. This role will work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Controllership Teams as well as collaborate with other departments as it relates to their job function. This position will report to the US Controller with dotted line reporting to the Director of Technical Accounting.    Specific Responsibilities   - Primary ownership of recording and reporting non-subscription revenue on a monthly basis - Maintaining and improving upon non-subscription revenue process documentation   - Collaborating with Sales Operations and Accounts Receivable to ensure compliance of complete and accurate billing related to non-subscription revenue. - Business Partner to the operational teams to understand and report on revenue within the month - Perform month-end revenue accrual journals - Perform and maintain monthly deferred revenue reconciliations

Requirements   - Three to Five years of progressive accounting / general ledger experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA License preferred, but not required
  • Must possess knowledge of ASC 606 and experience in a SaaS business
  • Experience with NetSuite (business application system) is a plus

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to          multi- task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Accurate, organized and detail oriented with exceptional follow up skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems

  • Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with exceptional Excel skills / experience

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $120,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
