What makes a great Account Manager?**

To thrive as a Account Manager, this individual is proactive and remains curious in pursuit of consultative offerings to fit our client’s needs. They should constantly seek for opportunities to improve business outcomes through project management, process improvement, and a deep understanding of the client’s businesses. This person is an expert at creating clarity from complexity and will be a trusted advisor to our clients. **

What will I be doing?**

The Account Manager is the lead day-to-day contact for our client’s media business at Circana. They are the first person to receive questions and inquiries, and they know the media products and internal organization to best find answers for the client. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the Primary Contact for the Client: You are the day-to-day contact for business development of audiences and all sold-in client measurement projects. This includes owning kick off calls & docs, project status updates, curating the final story, and communicating product updates/ expanded capabilities.
  • Understand Circana Audiences: Own business development, execution of audience requests, and proactive recommendations to clients.
  • Seek Business Development Opportunities: Be the owner of a vertical to develop internal training and develop relationships with internal/external partners, including agencies, platforms, tech partners, etc.
  • Develop Account and Measurement Insights: Have deep account knowledge to understand client needs and potential areas of opportunity. Communicate client concerns that are voiced in everyday conversations to leadership. Analyze data and measurement results in partnership with Delivery to develop insights and inform client on key learnings, recommendations, and actionable takeaways. Support cross-functional account partners with context from Media Solutions to build a complete understanding of the business.
  • Bring Clarity and Be the Product Expert: Act as client-facing product and marketing solutions expert for projects. Know how our measurement capabilities work in detail.
  • Manage Project Timelines and Deliverables: Between internal teams and Client - set expectations, deliver results, manage timelines and related variable changes. You are the “quarterback” for internal operations.
  • Actively Look for Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for increased efficiency in cross-functional operations.

Requirements

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s college degree or higher. Major in statistics, business, marketing, or related field.
  • Years of experience; 1-3 years in Media, CPG, Retail, Agencies, Research, and/or Sales in client facing and project management roles
  • Specific software or platforms: Microsoft and Google productivity suites

_The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
