Job Overview**

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Edward Jones is seeking a new team member to be responsible for associate relations functional support serving branch associates, who is service driven and has the ability for some limited travel.

  • Work in partnership with leaders and associates to diagnose and resolve a variety of complex issues involving team dynamics in the workplace, ensuring that all employment laws and policies are adhered to and while maintaining firm culture.
  • Conduct confidential investigations into complex and sensitive allegations of misconduct regarding employment law and firm policy violations in a thorough, diligent and unbiased manner to protect the interests of the firm and its associates.
  • Lead the resolution of various associate relations issues to include determination of disciplinary actions.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to leaders on the delivery of performance feedback and, at times, provide that feedback directly.
  • Prepare documentation of associate situations in a legally appropriate manner.
  • Work with associates to provide support and assistance during times of personal challenge.
  • Develop and implement HR programs and activities designed to improve overall morale, job satisfaction, and safety of associates.

Functional Skills

  • The ability to speak and write in a clear, concise and impartial manner when:
  • Interviewing associates and witnesses to gather facts regarding a case
  • Conducting complex presentations during HR investigations
  • Communicating disciplinary action to associates
  • Participating in unemployment hearings
  • Responding to inquiries from internal and external legal counsel.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to problem-solve complicated employment issues.
  • The ability to interpret and enforce firm policies and employment laws.
  • The skills necessary to navigate the firm's computer systems.

Additional Considerations: This position is advanced by an in depth knowledge of employment law. It further benefits from a working knowledge of the products and services offered by Edward Jones and an understanding of the firm's structure including the Edward Jones branch model, an understanding of how each of the firm's home office divisions support our branches in serving our clients, and an understanding of the firm's compliance policies. **

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $68105

Hiring Maximum: $112305 **

Skills/Requirements**

  • BS/BA or MS/MBA with Human Resources emphasis or equivalent HR experience preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR certification required after hire.
  • 5+ years' experience in an increasingly responsible leadership or HR position (with at least 2 years directly involved in associate relations).
  • Experience conducting complex confidential investigations and providing recommendations to leaders
  • Experience delivering separation outcomes is preferred

Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday. **
