Claims and TPA Project Manager - Remote from EMEA

Wakam is a European B2B2C insurer that designs white label General Insurance (GI) products for its partners (e-retailers, brokers and fintechs/insurtechs, ...). Our insurance solutions are embedded within the products or services offered to the end-customer.

Wakam operate in 32 countries across Europe with most of the revenues generated outside of France. Most of our products are delivered through API and hosts white label insurance solutions via our Play&Plug platform.

Since March 2021, we are a Mission-driven company. We defined 9 concrete commitments to illustrate this mission, such as writing our insurance contracts in plain language. We also create insurance products at cost for associations.

In a model where the majority of contract and claims management operations are outsourced (more than 90% of our claims expenses are outsourced), Wakam aims to strengthen its post-sales management of outsourced operations.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

The TPA & Claims Project Manager will report direct to the External Ops Team Lead. This position involves both strategic and operational aspects such as :

• Managing the operational performance of partners in France and abroad (organizing steering committees, implementing action plans).
• Overseeing the handling of complaints and feedback from end insured.
• Studying and monitoring fraud based on local specificities.
• Monitoring and managing unpaid premiums.
• Serving as the point of contact for outsourced operations for the rest of Wakam on management processes (handling complaints, recovery, management guide, etc.).
• Studying and formalizing management specificities (recourse, fraud, complaints) at least in Italy and Spain.
• Contributing to cross-functional projects.

Profile requirements

Qualifications & skills:

• Education background : Master degree
• You have a successful experience in the following two areas:
  1. Project management within an insurance, outsourcing services or consulting firm.
  2. Experience in Claims / TPA and/or partnerships management 
• Not afraid to get hands-on to accelerate project execution.
• Sharp interpersonal skills allowing comfort and relevance in dealing with important clients.
• Enjoy working in a team.
• A good command of English and ideally French also.

• Be organized, rigorous, and recognized for coordination and facilitation abilities to ensure the commitment of various contributors.
• Be proactive in proposing improvements to processes and tools to continually enhance management efficiency.
