SUMMARY

The User Experience (UX) Designer is a hands-on role, where you will actively participate in building prototypes, drawing user interfaces, and design software experiences for hospitals, Post-Acute Care facilities, and other audiences in the healthcare space.
It’s the real deal, where from day one onward, you will design complex software with a deep purpose.
Designers are the chief evangelists for our users. Making tools that perfectly match the workflow of an acute care coordinator or optimizing the experience for a liaison at a skilled nursing facility is critically important.
Making these user experiences effortless and efficient gives us purpose and brings great value.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, prototype, and usability test software products, including mobile and desktop devices.
  • Create intuitive, user experiences with strong, conceptual design thinking.
  • Collaborate with front-end UI and back-end developers, product management, support and other teams internally to meet highly technical business objectives for CLIENT’s products.
  • Translate ideas and concepts into workable wireframes, user task flow diagrams or journey maps, fully interactive prototypes, and functional design specifications.
  • Works to achieve operational targets and has an impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
  • Communicate and present to key stakeholders, user needs and optimal design solutions
  • Follow the Enterprise Style Guide (design patterns) to work systematically within a suite of products. Sometimes creating unique elements that relate to the patterns of an established design system.
  • Participate in many forms of user testing and validation. From simple sneaker-net tests (internal, quick checks) to formal, moderated user tests that validate the product's direction and usability.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in user experience, interaction design, graphic design or related field. In lieu of degree, 7+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design, interaction design, information architecture, front-end development, or User Experience design.
  • Demonstrated experience with all the tools and disciplines of UX Design: interactive prototypes, visual design mockups, journey maps and work-flows, user-testing methods, persona development (using such products as Sketch/Invision or Axure).
  • Experience with, or ability to learn, Product Metrics tools – e.g., Pendo, Google Analytics.
  • Without writing code, understands the technical possibilities and limitations. Is able to think in terms of what the technology can do without limiting the options or prematurely optimizing the design.
  • Work is closely supervised by mentoring designers and shared freely with peers.
  • Ability to face problems/issues that require a basic understanding of the products with a strong analytical ability.
  • Clearly communicates detailed information that requires some explanation or interpretation (both spoken and written).
