Job description

A well established and recognized organization with a long track record proving Global Inventory solutions delivering Supply Chain and Balance sheet efficiency aimed at very large corporates. The organisation is experiencing a period of rapid growth.

The role is in a new market untapped by typical financial institutions, and we are looking for someone to support the key sales individuals that are responsible to grow the business and to make an impact with clients and partners

Seeking individuals with extensive technical expertise, notably advising finance and treasury functions within major corporates on improving and implementing innovative solutions. This will require strong analytical and presentation skills to work alongside the team to help win business for the group

Key responsibilities will be to work closely in successfully structuring and building complex solutions for customers within a multistakeholder environment. You will be interacting with International and local Banks, Advisory firms, Large Corporates with business operations in the US. The role will focus on business and revenue targets with measurable results to win new business for the Group.

Managing potential client expectations and liaise between clients and internal support, execution teams and Management to ensure seamless transaction goals.

Reports to: Global Head of Sales

Key Objectives

  1. Development of new partner routes to market primarily one or more banks.
  2. New business sales generation (new logo selling) and associated revenue delivered in year, primarily via the same banks.
  3. Territory and market planning and execution.
  4. Impeccable qualification.
  5. Ensure that new logo clients transition smoothly into steady state delivery.

  3. Comfortable working at pace to deliver challenging targets. This is a hands-on, individual contributor sales role.
  4. An agile team player, who is resilient to challenge in a highly visible operating environment with a flat structure.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Intellectual and numerate. Able to respond flexibly and with attention to detail.
  7. Creative and curious approach to generating leads directly (20%) and with partners (80%).
  8. Nurtures trusted win/win relationships (internally and with clients). No politics.

Required Experience / Skills

  1. This is a hunting role, where candidates will be expected to generate and convert leads in collaboration with banking partners.
  2. Demonstrable new business development experience in trade, financial services, supply chain or consulting (deal origination to close).
  3. Demonstrable experience of operating at CxO / Board level particularly with CFO / Accounting / Treasury / Procurement / Supply Chain contacts within Fortune 500 / FTSE 250 clients.
  4. Complex deals experience (multi-stakeholder) with transactions >$100m.
  5. The ability to identify and present at relevant public / industry events.

Other desirable skills and experience

  1. Familiarity with the culture of a founder led or start-up culture.
  2. Consulting experience gained in a relevant / upper quartile consulting house.
  3. Established network in European / Asian or US banks (Trade business).
  4. Knowledge of international inventory solutions.
  5. Knowledge of trade finance
  6. Team / people development skills (mid to senior level).
  7. Miller Heiman or other relevant sales methodology.
