Lead Content Strategist

In this role, you will have responsibility for the success of enterprise client relationships, as it pertains to advising and managing clients on digital content strategy, related market research, content marketing programs and/or various types of content development.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly blend strong client management skills with creative content, social and digital marketing prowess, rooted in a sound understanding of client target audiences, competitive market dynamics, brand guidelines, and overall goals and objectives.

This position is available immediately, and the selected candidate can work remotely from any location in the continental US.

Perficient is always looking for the best and brightest talent and we need you! We’re a quickly-growing, global digital consulting leader, and we’re transforming the world’s largest enterprises and biggest brands. You’ll work with the latest technologies, expand your skills, and become a part of our global community of talented, diverse, and knowledgeable colleagues. **

Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading client engagements that have a content strategy, content marketing and/or content development program work stream. The ability to build successful client relationships with enterprise brands and within complex multi-channel engagements is core to this role.
  • Developing content strategies and programs, in collaboration with the client, as well as other internal stakeholders, work streams and lines of business on program execution. In doing so, you will act as trusted adviser on content efforts. Your focus will be on ensuring that content programs and deliverables meet an exceptional quality standard and are designed to ensure that clients meet their stated business goals and objectives.
  • Recommending new initiatives that drive future client growth, and providing an experience that culminates in innovative, results-oriented work product. Your support in sales activities as a subject matter expert in the client’s business and content needs, as well as a trusted client partner, will be critical to helping expand client engagements into broader growth opportunities.
  • Delivering content programs and projects on time and on budget. Critical to this position is your ability to analyze project requirements, organize and prioritize tasks, identify risks early, and manage the content program process efficiently.
  • Providing direction and oversight to multi-disciplinary team members supporting content program execution and guiding their efforts through the entire project lifecycle. Given the seniority of this role, it is expected that you can effectively manage account teams that include personnel of multiple levels of experience, and mentor those who need active development by providing clear guidance, coaching and feedback.
  • Participation in the development of innovative content marketing solutions, both by staying apprised of market advancements as well as providing thoughtful inputs to content marketing solution positioning, and participation in thought leadership activities as your bandwidth allows.
  • Participation in the hiring process for new content team members, including interviewing, and providing feedback on potential candidates

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience managing corporate and/or client marketing programs, at least some of that experience being specific to content marketing programs in any variety of digital channels— such as digital marketing and product content, informational content, email marketing, social media and supporting market research.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage digital content programs through the entire project lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and maintenance. Example digital content programs include the creation of content strategies, conducting content audits, overseeing development of optimized web content, and executing integrated content marketing programs that may include email marketing, social marketing, influencer marketing, etc.
  • Experience working with clients and internal stakeholders to develop content program plans, creative briefs and professional communications.
  • Proven success managing and delivering content programs with a data-driven approach, and general experience applying those capabilities within different web environments, such as content management systems, marketing automation systems, and mobile apps.
  • Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple, often fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Client-centric work ethic and ability to motivate and foster a sense of teamwork among project team members and the client.
