Higginbotham Insurance Agency, Inc, one of Texas's largest privately owned insurance brokerages, has an immediate opening for a remote Business Systems Specialist.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Systems Specialist . In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of insurance agency systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and accuracy. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Applied EPIC, insurance processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The P &C Business Systems Specialist is responsible for the administration of the company's essential agency management systems for the P&C Business line, including Applied Epic and other company systems. **

Key Responsibilities:**

System Configuration:
- Configure and customize insurance agency management systems to align with business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement and maintain system configurations to support various lines of insurance.
Data Management:
- Oversee data integrity within agency systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Develop and implement data quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Perform regular audits to identify and resolve data issues.
Integration:
- Work closely with IT and other relevant departments to integrate agency systems with third-party tools and platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
User Training and Support:
- Provide training to users on system functionalities, best practices, and new features.
- Act as a point of contact for system-related inquiries and issues, offering timely support and solutions.
System Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Coordinate and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Stay informed about system updates and industry best practices to enhance system capabilities.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Develop and generate reports to support business insights and decision-making.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand reporting requirements and implement solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in configuring and managing insurance agency management systems.
5+ years’ experience in configuring and managing Applied EPIC.
Strong knowledge of insurance industry processes and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Familiarity with database management and reporting tools.
