You'll collaborate with contractors, customers, manufacturers, and our internal teams to solve technical challenges, optimize equipment performance, and deliver exceptional service.

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and overtime as necessary to meet customer requirements. Travel to customer sites is required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Service air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, chilled-water systems, pumps, cooling towers, and related refrigeration components.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to contractors, technicians, building operators, and customers during installations, startups, and service calls.
  • Support cooling systems in data centres and other mission-critical environments, helping minimize downtime and maintain reliable operations.
  • Troubleshoot building automation systems, equipment controls, alarms, and system performance issues.
  • Complete preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and assessments, identifying recommended repairs and improvements.
  • Document service activities, equipment readings, troubleshooting findings, and repairs accurately.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and internal Sales, Service, and Technical Support teams to resolve technical issues, support warranty claims, and meet customer needs.
  • Participate in manufacturer training to stay current with chiller technologies, refrigeration systems, and controls.
  • Follow all applicable health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and customer site requirements, and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Licensed 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic in good standing.
  • Valid G-class driver's licence in good standing.
  • Minimum five (5) years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience, including hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting chiller systems.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, compressors, electrical components, hydronic systems, and chilled-water applications.
  • Experience working with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers and associated equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose complex equipment issues using electrical testing equipment, system readings, manufacturer documentation, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and manufacturer technical documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC controls, building automation interfaces, and equipment operating sequences.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use manufacturer diagnostic software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and team members.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to approach complex technical challenges with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Willing and able to travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
