Scrum Master / Business Analyst / QA Tester

Position OverviewWe are seeking a versatile and experienced Scrum Master / Business Analyst / QA Tester to support Agile software development, business requirements management, quality assurance, and application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, gathering and documenting business requirements, developing user stories, coordinating software testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT). This position combines Agile delivery coordination, business analysis, and functional quality assurance responsibilities and requires excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesAgile / Scrum Coordination
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to support successful sprint execution.
• Maintain sprint backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery metrics using Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Track project progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
• Prepare sprint status reports, dashboards, and delivery updates.
• Support release planning, change coordination, and continuous process improvement.
Business Analysis
• Conduct requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
• Analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and document functional and nonfunctional requirements.
• Develop business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create workflow diagrams, process maps, use cases, and wireframes as needed.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Coordinate with development teams to clarify requirements and validate proposed solutions.
• Support application demonstrations, stakeholder reviews, and user training activities.
Quality Assurance / Testing
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Document, track, prioritize, and retest defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Validate application functionality against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support automated testing initiatives and coordinate performance, accessibility, and security testing with technical specialists.
• Prepare testing status reports, defect metrics, and release-readiness assessments.
• Support production release validation and post-deployment testing.
Documentation and Training
• Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct application demonstrations and support end-user training sessions.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, risk registers, and decision logs.
Required Qualifications• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coordinating Agile delivery activities.
• Strong business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience developing and executing software test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS, or comparable Agile/project management tools.
• Experience with defect tracking, requirements traceability, and release validation.
• Strong stakeholder communication, documentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across Agile coordination, business analysis, and quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications• 10+ years of combined experience in Agile delivery, business analysis, or software quality assurance.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
• CBAP, CCBA, ISTQB, or similar professional certification.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure-based enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility testing and WCAG standards.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with SQL queries, API testing, and Postman.
• Experience supporting Federal Government or regulated enterprise projects.
• Experience developing training materials and facilitating end-user training sessions.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
