Job description

Overview:

ROLE AT A GLANCE:
The Director, Digital Product Development leads the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing development of Herbalife’s enterprise digital publishing products, including Marketing Pages / Marketing Page Builder, Enterprise Content Management System (CMS), and Enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM).

This leader is responsible for building a connected publishing ecosystem that enables teams to create, run, discover, localize, and publish content and digital assets efficiently across markets and channels. The role combines strategic product leadership with hands-on oversight of discovery, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement—making publishing tools easier to use while strengthening consistency, governance, and scalability.

Working closely with Marketing, Content Operations, regional business teams, Product Design, Engineering, and enterprise partners, the Director translates business needs and publisher workflows into intuitive, reusable capabilities. The role leads the products and workflows that support publishing, while Marketing and designated business stakeholders retain responsibility for content strategy, promotional messaging, and publication approvals.

The Director also advances AI-enabled publishing and enterprise AI enablement: integrating responsible AI capabilities into authoring and asset workflows while ensuring approved content and assets are structured, discoverable, and accessible to authorized AI-powered experiences.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Product Strategy and Portfolio Leadership
•    Define and communicate a cohesive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Marketing Pages / Marketing Page Builder, Enterprise CMS, and Enterprise DAM.
•    Manage these products as a connected portfolio, aligning page creation, structured content, asset management, and publishing workflows to shared business outcomes.
•    Translate enterprise priorities, market needs, user research, and performance insights into clear investment decisions and prioritized product opportunities.
•    Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform modernization, scalability, usability, and operational sustainability.
•    Establish measurable objectives and communicate progress, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Marketing Pages / Marketing Page Builder
•    Lead the development of intuitive, self-service capabilities that enable distributors to create, personalize, publish, and maintain marketing pages that promote their Herbalife-based businesses—without requiring technical expertise or custom development.
•    Partner with Product Design and Engineering to deliver reusable templates, components, and guided authoring experiences that support responsive, mobile-first, accessible, and localization-ready pages.
•    Simplify distributor workflows for page setup, content and asset selection, personalization, preview, publishing, sharing, and ongoing updates.
•    Enable distributors to tailor their pages to their businesses and audiences within appropriate brand, content, and publishing controls, using approved content and assets.
•    Integrate AI-assisted page creation and personalization to help distributors build effective pages more easily, with appropriate safeguards and distributor review before publication.
•    Partner with Marketing, Content Operations, regional business teams, and analytics teams to improve distributor adoption, ease of use, page engagement, and measurable outcomes for distributors’ businesses.

Enterprise Content Management
•    Lead the product direction for enterprise content authoring, management, and delivery, enabling consistent content reuse across digital products and channels.
•    Partner with business and technical teams to evolve structured content models, taxonomy, metadata, versioning, and content lifecycle capabilities.
•    Improve global-to-local workflows, including content inheritance, translation, localization, market variations, and retirement.
•    Define product requirements for permissions, approvals, auditability, and publishing controls in partnership with the appropriate governance stakeholders.
•    Partner with Engineering on APIs and integrations that make approved content available to downstream digital experiences.

Enterprise Digital Asset Management
•    Lead the product strategy for handling, discovering, sharing, and distributing digital assets across enterprise teams and digital channels.
•    Improve asset ingestion, metadata management, search, version control, renditions, and reuse.
•    Enable workflows that support asset ownership, usage rights, expiration, localization, and lifecycle management.
•    Connect DAM capabilities with CMS and page-building experiences so publishers can easily find and use appropriate, approved assets.
•    Partner with Marketing, creative teams, and regional stakeholders to improve asset quality, discoverability, and adoption.

AI-Enabled Publishing and AI Enablement
•    Identify, prioritize, and deliver AI capabilities that address relevant publishing needs, such as assisted drafting, content adaptation, translation assistance, metadata generation, asset tagging, semantic search, and page assembly.
•    Embed AI assistance into existing workflows with clear review, approval, and accountability rather than treating generated outputs as publication-ready.
•    Partner with enterprise AI and Engineering teams to make approved content and assets available for authorized search, retrieval, and AI-assisted experiences through appropriate integrations.
•    Establish requirements for content provenance, approval status, permissions, usage rights, and freshness so AI experiences can distinguish appropriate source material from drafts, expired assets, or restricted content.
•    Evaluate AI capabilities against quality, usability, cost, and measurable productivity outcomes, with safeguards for privacy, security, intellectual property, and applicable governance requirements.
•    Enable teams to adopt AI-supported workflows through guidance, training, and continuous feedback.

Product Discovery, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement
•    Lead discovery with publishers, marketers, content managers, asset managers, and regional teams to understand workflows and identify the highest-value problems to solve.
•    Guide product teams in developing clear problem statements, requirements, priorities, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
•    Partner closely with Product Design and Engineering from discovery through implementation, launch, and iteration.
•    Coordinate cross-product dependencies and integrations while maintaining clear ownership and delivery accountability.
•    Use research, analytics, testing, and operational feedback to improve product usability, quality, and performance.
•    Additional duties as assigned.

LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Lead, coach, and develop a team of 1–3 direct reports, building product management talent and a culture of customer understanding, accountability, collaboration, and measurable outcomes.
•    Establish clear product ownership and effective working practices across the publishing portfolio.
•    Build strong partnerships with Marketing, regional teams, Product Design, Engineering, enterprise AI, analytics, and relevant governance functions.
•    Lead adoption and change-management efforts, including rollout planning, enablement materials, training, and feedback channels.
•    Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and business partners on vendor evaluation, platform investment, and build-versus-buy recommendations.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

Required Experience
•    10+ years of experience in digital product management or development, including leadership of enterprise publishing, content management, digital asset management, marketing technology, or closely related platforms.
•    Experience owning a product portfolio or complex platform roadmap, from discovery and prioritization through launch, adoption, and optimization.
•    Experience leading and developing product managers and coordinating cross-functional teams.
•    Solid understanding of content publishing workflows, structured content, digital asset lifecycles, metadata, taxonomy, permissions, localization, and approval processes.
•    Ability to translate complex business and operational needs into intuitive product experiences and reusable platform capabilities.
•    Experience partnering with Engineering on enterprise integrations, APIs, platform dependencies, and technical trade-offs.
•    Practical understanding of AI-enabled content and asset workflows, including their limitations, evaluation needs, and human-review requirements.
•    Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain priorities and trade-offs to technical and nontechnical audiences.
•    Experience applying user research, product analytics, and measurable outcomes to guide product decisions.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience supporting global, multilingual, multi-market publishing environments.
•    Experience connecting page-building, CMS, and DAM capabilities into an integrated publishing ecosystem.
•    Familiarity with headless or composable content architectures, design systems, and omnichannel content delivery.
•    Experience delivering AI-assisted authoring, semantic search, automated enrichment, or retrieval-based experiences using governed enterprise content.
•    Experience improving enterprise platform adoption, migrating legacy tools, or simplifying fragmented publishing workflows.
•    Familiarity with accessibility, content governance, digital rights management, and marketing approval workflows.
