Job Summary

Portside provides the software platform (CRM and Asset Management, built on Salesforce and the LeaseWorks product) that aircraft leasing companies use to run their commercial and technical operations. The Technical Implementation Specialist is the aviation technical expert embedded in our Professional Services team: someone who already thinks like an aircraft technical specialist — comfortable with maintenance records, airworthiness compliance, LLP tracking, and maintenance reserves — and now applies that expertise to loading, validating, and structuring customer technical data inside our platform during implementation. This person is the trusted technical counterpart to each customer's own Technical Specialists, gathering their asset data, resolving discrepancies, and translating aviation domain knowledge into a clean, working configuration. No prior software or Salesforce experience is required; we will train the right aviation background into our tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical data point of contact during customer implementations, working directly with the customer's Technical Specialists and Asset Managers to gather aircraft and engine technical data (maintenance status, AD/SB compliance, LLP tracking, maintenance reserves, technical lease provisions).
  • Own the loading, mapping, and validation of customer technical data into the Salesforce and LeaseWorks (Aeris Asset) product modules for each implementation.
  • Design data mapping between customers' legacy systems (spreadsheets, prior systems of record, records databases) and LeaseWorks' data model, in coordination with the implementation and engineering teams.
  • Perform quality assurance and reconciliation on loaded data, verifying accuracy and completeness against source technical records before go-live.
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, or quality issues in customer records and work with client-side technical teams to resolve them within the agreed implementation schedule.
  • Support scoping conversations by advising on data readiness, required source materials, and realistic timelines for technical data loads.
  • Serve as a translator between aviation technical concepts and internal implementation, engineering, and support teams who may not have an aviation background.
  • Document data mapping decisions, local customizations, and data load procedures, and hand these off cleanly to the Support/CS team for ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain working proficiency in Salesforce and LeaseWorks configuration as it relates to technical and asset data structures.
  • Feed real implementation experience back to Product and Engineering to flag data model gaps or opportunities for better out-of-the-box standardization.
  • Support training of customer technical stakeholders on how to maintain and update their data within the platform after go-live.
  • Participate in ideation and configuration sessions with customer cross-functional teams during implementation.

Qualifications

  • Background in aircraft technical records, continuing airworthiness, maintenance management, or aircraft leasing technical/asset management — e.g., prior experience as a Technical Specialist, Technical Records Specialist, or similar role at an airline, MRO, or leasing company.
  • Strong working knowledge of aircraft technical documentation: AD/SB compliance, LLP tracking, maintenance programs, delivery/redelivery conditions, and maintenance reserves.
  • No prior SaaS, Salesforce, or LeaseWorks experience required — but a genuine willingness and aptitude to learn new software systems; training will be provided.
  • Comfortable working with structured data sets: cleaning, mapping, and validating data in Excel or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical aviation concepts for a software audience and software/process concepts for aviation-side customer contacts.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage data workstreams across multiple concurrent customer implementations.
  • Prior client-facing or implementation/onboarding experience is a plus, but not required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary
  • Fully remote work
  • Generous time off policy
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Dynamic, collaborative, and fast-growing work environment.

Portside is an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating

an inclusive environment for all employees.
