The Role: Talent System Administrator (JSON)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a JSON Developer to help build and enhance features within our SaaS talent marketplace through Eightfold AI. This role combines hands-on coding—particularly working with JSON-driven configurations and integrations—with ongoing support for end-user and internal technical issues. You’ll contribute to UI-related enhancements, implement platform changes, and help troubleshoot and resolve production support queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain features, enhancements, and platform changes for the talent marketplace using JSON-based approaches.
  • Support UI updates and improvements that are driven by configuration, data models, and front-end/back-end integration patterns.
  • Build, test, and document changes to ensure releases meet quality and reliability expectations.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues reported through the support process, including reproducing bugs and analyzing logs/requests/responses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., product, operations, support, and engineering teams) to translate requirements into working solutions.
  • Provide timely, accurate support for platform-related inquiries, including root-cause analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for implemented changes, troubleshooting steps, and known issues.
  • Participate in iterative improvements to development and support workflows.
  • Design and co-own end-to-end integration architecture.
  • Define data migration strategy (initial loads, delta syncs, reconciliation).
  • Lead technical discovery workshops with stakeholders.
  • Establish integration design patterns and governance standards.
  • Provide technical leadership across delivery lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • SQL + ETL tools explicitly
  • Data modeling + transformation experience.
  • Experience with integration frameworks (REST, SSO, middleware).
  • Experience leading implementations or technical workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with UI-related enhancements (e.g., implementing configuration changes that affect screens, workflows, or user experiences).
  • Familiarity with common SaaS deployment practices, release cycles, and support/incident workflows.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages commonly used alongside JSON (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#).
  • Experience using API testing tools and log/telemetry sources to diagnose issues.
  • Knowledge of learning-focused workflows or education technology platforms.

Success in This Role:

You’ll be effective when you can consistently turn JSON-driven requirements into reliable platform updates and when you can support production operations by quickly diagnosing issues, fixing defects, and communicating resolutions.
