Hindi Language Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a Hindi Language Specialist to review and improve Hindi audio transcripts. You will be responsible for carefully listening to Hindi audio and verifying that the written transcript accurately reflects what is spoken.

This role requires strong Hindi language skills, excellent listening ability, and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to Hindi audio clips carefully and compare them with the provided transcripts.

• Identify and correct missing, incorrect, or additional words in transcripts.

• Ensure transcripts accurately reflect the audio, treating the recording as the source of truth.

• Review Hindi spelling, matras, punctuation, numbers, dates, and formatting as per the provided style guide.

• Identify unclear audio, difficult-to-understand speech, accents, and other language-related issues.

• Flag personal or sensitive content when encountered.

• Add concise and accurate quality-check notes where required.

• Maintain consistency and accuracy across all assigned transcripts.

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hindi.

• Strong Hindi reading and writing skills.

• Excellent listening and comprehension abilities.

• Ability to understand fast, noisy, or accented Hindi speech.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences in pronunciation and words.

• Comfortable using a Hindi Unicode keyboard (InScript or phonetic).

• Ability to follow detailed written guidelines and quality standards.

• Graduate degree preferred; Hindi-medium schooling will be an added advantage.
