Junior Web Developer - Entry Level/Part Time

Nomad eCommerce is seeking an innovative and resourceful junior Web Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for Computer Science or MIS/CMIS students who are passionate about web development and eager to gain hands-on training and real-world experience.

As a Junior Web Developer, you’ll work alongside developers, SQL specialists, project managers, and UX/UI designers to contribute to impactful web solutions that drive our clients’ business goals. You’ll have opportunities to:
●    Experiment with emerging technologies and frameworks
●    Collaborate with our engineers to enhance internal tools
●    Support projects from concept through launch

What You’ll Do

●    Contribute to development projects
●    Provide customer support as needed
●    Solve problems through research and troubleshooting
●    Assist with testing and QA
●    Take on additional responsibilities to support business objectives

Required Skills

●    Self-motivated and eager to learn
●    Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills
●    Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
●    Basic knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and databases

Nice-to-Have Skills

●    Design sensibility and UX/UI knowledge
●    Understanding of accessibility (WCAG guidelines)
●    Familiarity with performance optimization (Lighthouse, WebPageTest)
●    API integration proficiency
●    SEO fundamentals
●    Basic backend development knowledge
●    Strong documentation and technical communication skills
●    Awareness of DevOps or CI/CD methodologies
