bookingkit is the European market leader in booking software for activity providers. We are a Berlin-based startup that specializes in enabling activity providers in the leisure industry to digitize their business. Last year we were ranked 3rd best SME Employer for Internet-related solutions in Berlin by FOCUS Business, a fact that we are really proud of and attribute in a large part to successfully fusing the love for our solution and what we do with our company culture. We are passionate about helping companies in the tours and activities space grow by bringing their business online. Our software allows a high degree of automation in managing a wide range of leisure activities and can be implemented on a provider's website as a ready-to-use solution. Our software supports customers in a unique way with sales, marketing and processing their activities in a centralized way, which as a result helps providers manage their business. As a channel manager and technology platform, bookingkit also gives (online) travel agencies and marketplaces the opportunity to access a digitized inventory of experiences across all verticals, allowing for the automated booking of leisure activities in real time.

Job description

👋 About Us

At bookingkit, Europe's leading booking and reservation software for tours and activities, big changes are on the horizon. Our goal by 2030 is to create an AI-powered Success Platform enabling Attractions like museums, sights, and theme parks to grow ticket sales and simplify ticket operations.

We’re digitising Europe’s tours & activities industry and helping experience providers grow. We’re now building the AI layer on top of our platform, and we’re hiring an AI-native Product Manager (m/f/d) to lead it.

You’ll own discovery, definition and delivery of AI capabilities for two audiences. The first are the bookingkit customers who run attractions and tours (B2B): you’ll help them operate their business better by taking faster, smarter decisions on pricing, availability and distribution. The second is their guests (B2B2C): you’ll make experiences discoverable and bookable wherever guests shop, including through AI assistants and agents. The work spans natural-language features, MCP servers and agentic systems, all with one goal: helping our customers sell more tickets, safely.

This is a full-time (40h/week) position. Berlin-based candidates can join us at the office 1-2 days per week, while remote candidates can work from anywhere in Europe with sufficient time-zone overlap.

Hybrid or remote, the work setup choice is yours!

🎯 What You'll Own

  • Own the roadmap for bookingkit’s AI capabilities across two tracks:

    • Customers of bookingkit (B2B): agents and tools that recommend, and where appropriate execute, actions e.g. on pricing, availability and channel allocation, or order management

    • Guests of our customers (B2B2C): discovery and shopping experiences, including making inventory bookable by third-party AI assistants via MCP and emerging agentic-commerce standards.

  • Run continuous discovery with customers, partners and internal teams (sales, CS, support). Find where AI creates measurable value and turn it into prioritized opportunities and clear requirements.

  • Lead co-development with selected customers, taking concepts from prototype to scoped pilot to a reusable, generally available capability.

  • Drive delivery end-to-end with engineering and design, from spec through launch and iteration. Support other product managers and teams on their projects.

  • Define what “good” means for each AI feature: success metrics, evaluation sets, quality thresholds and instrumentation. Use them to decide what ships, what gets iterated and what gets cut.

  • Set the guardrails for agent autonomy:

    • which actions agents can take on a customer’s behalf, and when a human must approve;

    • how actions are logged and reversed;

    • working with engineering, security and legal on reliability, GDPR and EU AI Act requirements.

  • Own the trade-offs between quality, cost and latency, including build/buy and model/vendor choices.

  • Partner with marketing on go-to-market, and own the documentation (help centre and setup guides) so customers can adopt these capabilities on their own.

  • Contribute to improving and automating our internal product processes through agentic AI flows.

🧠 What You Bring

  • 3+ years in product management in B2B SaaS, including at least one AI/LLM-powered capability shipped to real customers, not just prototyped.

  • A working understanding of how LLM products are built (prompting, retrieval, tool calling and agents, evaluations) and how they fail. You need enough depth to make trade-offs with engineers.

  • You’re a hands-on builder. You prototype with API clients, notebooks or AI coding tools to test an idea before you spec it, and AI tools are part of your everyday workflow.

  • Hands-on experience running co-development or pilot programs.

  • Proven, practical use of AI tools in product work (research, writing, analysis, prototyping) and improving product processes through AI - specifically in setting up and improving internal AI agents

  • Fluent English; you'll work daily with international partners and customers.

🎀 Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in travel, tours & activities, ticketing or marketplaces.

  • Hands-on work with MCP servers, public APIs, or distribution through AI assistants or OTAs.

  • Exposure to revenue management or dynamic pricing.

  • A background in data science, ML or engineering before moving into product.

  • Experience with AI governance or compliance (EU AI Act, GDPR).

  • German, plus other European languages (Italian, French, Nordic languages).

🎁Perks and Benefits

  • Remote Work: Enjoy a 100% remote work setup, with the option to join colleagues in our Berlin office. Our Mobile Work Abroad policy also allows you to work from almost anywhere in the world for up to 5 months in the year.

  • 28 Vacation Days + Tenure: Start with 28 vacation days per year, and earn an extra vacation day each year on your anniversary date (up to a maximum of 31 days).

  • Public Transportation Subsidy: We cover more than 50% of your public
    transportation costs in Germany.

  • Gym Subsidy: Get subsidized memberships for Urban Sports Club (more than 40%) and Wellhub (100%!) in Germany.

  • Annual Private Travel Subsidy: Receive up to €156 annually for private travel.

  • Corporate Discounts: Get free tickets, 2-for-1 deals, and discounts across top Berlin attractions, theaters, and tours via our INTOURA membership.

  • Flat Communication: Join a culture that values open communication and
    accessibility between teams and leads.

  • Team Events: Enjoy regular BBQs in Berlin, summer and winter events, and reunions with former employees.

  • Airport/Train Office Day: Work during travel even if you’re unable to take calls.

  • Extra Charity Day: Take an extra day of leave in the year for charity work.

  • Child Sick Days: Receive 10 days of paid leave for child sickness.

🏆 Our Vision & Mission

Our future is clearly defined:

  • Our vision is to create a world where our technology makes booking and marketing experiences a breeze.

  • Our mission is to develop bookingkit into the ultimate integrated booking technology for professional European attractions.
