FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 200,000 investment professionals worldwide, providing instant access to financial data and analytics that investors use to make crucial decisions.

At FactSet, our values are the foundation of everything we do. They express how we act and operate, serve as a compass in our decision-making, and play a big role in how we treat each other, our clients, and our communities. We believe that the best ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time, and that curiosity is the key to anticipating our clients’ needs and exceeding their expectations.

Join FactSet's Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team as the Manager, Data Center Operations , the senior technical owner of infrastructure operations at our Virginia data center. You will combine hands-on engineering, project oversight, vendor and stakeholder management, and mentorship to keep the facility and its supporting infrastructure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective.

As a key member of our collaborative team, you will be the point of contact between the data center, partner departments, and director-level stakeholders. You will help ensure that the tools and processes behind our infrastructure keep improving.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports made up of Data Center Operations Technicians and NOC Operators.
  • Set priorities, manage performance, and build a clear growth path, including from technician into engineering roles.
  • Own 24x7 operational coverage: shift design, resource allocation, and escalation paths, working across time zones with regional partners.
  • Participate in the management on-call rotation and lead after-hours incident response for facility and hardware events.
  • Own incident, problem, and change management for facility and hardware events, and drive major incidents through post-incident review to completed corrective actions.
  • Provide project management and oversight for hardware deployments, technology rollouts, facility buildouts, and site migrations or consolidations.
  • Monitor capacity across our global data centers and colos (power, space, cooling, network) and give engineering and platform teams a forward view of runway.
  • Partner with director-level stakeholders and other departments to align goals and integrate tools, systems, and projects.
  • Manage colocation, carrier, remote-hands, and logistics vendors to deliver regionalized services under contracts that are cost-conscious and beneficial to end users.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, tooling, and automation, with a focus on autonomy and scalability.
  • Maintain compliance with security, safety, and audit requirements for physical infrastructure.
  • Champion best practices, coach and mentor team members, and foster technical excellence.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5-8 years of data center or enterprise infrastructure operations experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Experience leading a 24x7 operations team, including shift coverage and escalation.
  • Working knowledge of data center hardware, power, cooling, cabling, and networking.
  • Experience with alerting, monitoring, and incident management in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and rollouts from planning through delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with director-level and cross-departmental audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
  • Ability to work onsite at the Reston, Virginia data center, with work-from-home flexibility.
  • Availability for on-call rotation and after-hours incident response.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor and contractor relationships, particularly with telecoms and colocation providers.
  • Experience with hybrid (on-premises and cloud) infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with colocation lifecycle activities: selection, buildout, renewal, migration, and decommission.
  • Experience operating across multiple regions with remote-hands and international hardware logistics.
  • Experience with high-density or GPU compute environments.
  • Scripting or automation skills used to improve operational tooling and reporting.
  • Experience managing assets and capacity with ITSM and DCIM tooling.
