sweetgreen is a destination for real food. We believe the choices we make every day about what we eat, where it comes from, and how it’s made have a lasting impact on our communities. From the seed to the store, we’re involved in every step of the supply chain, working with partners and farmers we know and trust. We make our food from scratch in each sweetgreen every day, using whole produce delivered that morning. As sweetgreen grows, we’re dedicated to working with the right people. We’ve built a team of over 4,000 hardworking individuals who care about developing future leaders and live our core values daily. We meet farmers before we meet landlords. We turn our new neighbors into friends. We’re building a brand that connects to local neighborhoods and leaves communities better off than we found them. Our mission is to inspire healthier communities, by connecting people to real food. With over 220 locations across PA, MA, DMV, NY, CA, IL, TX, CO, and FL, we’ve worked hard to build a company with passion and purpose - and we’re just getting started.

Job description

We're looking for a Regional Marketing Specialist to support sweetgreen's community marketing efforts across the Boston market. This role will bring our brand to life through local events, product sampling, community partnerships, and grassroots marketing initiatives. Working closely with our restaurant teams, you'll help build meaningful connections within local communities, increase brand awareness, attract new guests, and drive repeat visits. The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, thrives in a hands-on environment, and is excited to make a measurable impact on restaurant traffic and sales growth.

  • Own grassroots demand generation in Boston — build the local relationship layer that national marketing can't reach

  • Source and close neighborhood partnerships: corporate offices and building managers (catered lunches, tasting drops), gyms and fitness studios, hospitals, universities, and co-working spaces

  • Run in-market activations — sampling at building lobbies, race and fitness events, campus move-in, farmers markets — with local nonprofits and community groups as partners, not sponsors

  • Serve as the connective tissue between HCs and marketing: coach teams on local outreach, arm them with intros, and make sure the relationship survives a manager transition

  • Build a CRM of local accounts and champions; track leads, activations, and repeat business rather than one-off impressions

  • No discounting authority. Success is measured in new relationships, repeat catering/Outpost accounts, and incremental traffic — not redemption rates

  • Report on cost per new account and traffic lift by market monthly; recommend which partnerships to scale

What you'll get:

  • Highly competitive pay + bonus plan
  • Three different medical plans to suit your and your family's needs
  • Dental and Vision insurance
  • Flexible PTO plan
  • 401k program
  • Employee HSA and FSA
  • Complimentary greens
  • An opportunity to make a real impact on the people around you, both by growing them and by connecting them to real food
  • To live the sweetlife and celebrate your passion + purpose
  • A collaborative team of people who live our core values and have your back
  • A clear career path with opportunities for development, both personally and professionally
  • Free sweetgreen swag
