Job description

Shape education that supports Australian GPs and better patient care.

Sydney Hybrid or Remote within Australia

We’re looking for an experienced Medical Content Developer to join RX and play a key role across the General Practice Conference & Exhibition (GPCE) and ThinkGP.

This is an opportunity to combine your medical content expertise, editorial judgement and project coordination skills to create high-quality continuing professional development (CPD) education for Australian GPs and primary care professionals.

From accredited online learning modules and quality improvement programs to live conference education, you’ll help ensure our content is clinically credible, practical, engaging and aligned with RACGP and ACRRM accreditation requirements.

About RX

RX is a global events and exhibitions business that creates opportunities for individuals, communities and organisations to connect, learn and do business.

In Australia, our healthcare portfolio brings together face-to-face medical education through GPCE and digital CPD through ThinkGP, providing education and professional development to GPs and other healthcare professionals. We are a leading private provider of CPD education for GPs and healthcare professionals through these two platforms.

ThinkGP is an online platform providing free, accredited CPD education, including modules, clinical audits and advanced courses. Its education is accredited by the RACGP and ACRRM.

Together, our live and digital platforms give you the opportunity to work on education that reaches healthcare professionals across Australia.

About the role

As our Medical Content Developer, you’ll sit at the heart of the content development process, helping shape education from initial concept through to final publication and delivery.

Working with clinical experts, medical writers and internal teams, you’ll translate medical evidence, guidelines and educational objectives into clear, relevant and practical learning for busy healthcare professionals.

You’ll work across multiple projects and formats, including ThinkGP online learning and GPCE conference content, balancing clinical accuracy, accreditation requirements, editorial quality and the needs of different stakeholders.

Reporting to the Portfolio Director with a dotted line to the Head of Content, you’ll collaborate closely with the Project Manager, clinical experts, writers, and our editorial, digital and marketing teams.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with the Head of Content, clinical experts and medical writers to develop learning outcomes and shape high-quality GP education
  • Translate medical evidence and clinical guidelines into clear, engaging and practical educational content
  • Ensure content meets educational objectives, editorial standards and RACGP/ACRRM accreditation requirements
  • Brief and manage medical writers, establish timelines and provide clear editorial direction throughout development
  • Review, edit and proof CPD activities, conference presentations and supporting educational resources
  • Maintain consistency in clinical accuracy, tone and editorial style across GPCE and ThinkGP
  • Work closely with clinicians and other stakeholders to manage feedback and content revisions
  • Oversee final content uploads and quality assurance within ThinkGP and GPCE systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and help us efficiently scale our content production

What we’re looking for

You’re an experienced medical or scientific content professional who enjoys turning complex clinical information into education that is accurate, useful and easy to engage with.

You’ll be comfortable working directly with healthcare professionals and subject matter experts, while also having the organisation and attention to detail needed to manage multiple content projects.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience developing medical, clinical or scientific educational content
  • Strong medical writing, editing and proofreading skills across digital and print
  • Confidence interpreting medical evidence and clinical guidelines
  • Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, medical writers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial and clinical accuracy
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Familiarity with content management systems and Excel
  • Knowledge of RACGP and/or ACRRM accreditation requirements, or the willingness to learn

Experience with Articulate 360 or other e-learning development software would be an advantage.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to do more than simply write or edit medical content.

You’ll join a small, passionate team where you can influence how GP education is developed and delivered across both digital learning and major live events.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a genuine impact through education designed to support GPs and ultimately improve patient care
  • Work across digital and live education, giving you variety beyond a traditional medical writing role
  • Collaborate with clinical experts and turn the latest evidence and guidance into practical education
  • Own content from concept through to delivery, rather than working on just one part of the process
  • Help shape and improve how we work, bringing new ideas to our content development and production processes

If you’re passionate about medical education, love turning complex clinical information into clear and practical learning, and want your work to have genuine reach across Australian primary care, we’d love to hear from you.
