About the Role

We’re looking for an SEO Strategist to help drive organic search growth across a portfolio of established transportation and logistics websites in highly competitive markets, including heavy hauling, equipment transport, oversize load transport, freight, auto transport, and container transport. You’ll work directly with the Senior SEO Lead and closely with writers, designers, developers, data, and PPC teams to research, plan, ship, and measure SEO work.

You don’t need a decade of experience. We care more about how you think, how fast you learn, and how much ownership you take. This role is ideal for someone resourceful, comfortable using AI tools to move faster, and motivated by results they can point to. You’ll be trusted with real work from your first week and are expected to grow into owning page types, projects, and outcomes over time.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Keyword Research

• Execute SEO strategy across a portfolio of established websites, from research through launch
• Conduct keyword research and map keywords to pages based on search intent and lead potential
• Monitor competitors and flag where we are gaining or losing visibility
• Investigate ranking drops, traffic changes, and competitor gains, and bring findings and recommendations to the team

Content Briefs, Creation & Refreshes

• Write content briefs for service pages, location pages, equipment pages, route pages, cost guides, and other high-value page types
• Refresh and improve existing content: updating, consolidating, re-linking, and aligning pages to what searchers actually want
• Generate AI-assisted content for the page series you own, then edit, fact-check, and optimize it so every page is accurate, useful, and ready to publish
• Support programmatic SEO and location-page initiatives with research, QA, and quality checks

Technical SEO

• Run site crawls and help identify technical issues, indexation problems, broken links, and internal linking gaps
• Coordinate with developers to get technical fixes prioritized and shipped

Reporting & Analysis

• Build and maintain SEO reports and dashboards that show wins, losses, and what changed
• Analyze performance data to connect SEO work to qualified leads and revenue, not just traffic

Link Building & Authority

• Support link-building, outreach, and authority-building efforts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with writers, designers, developers, data, and PPC teams to get SEO work shipped
• Communicate proactively with the Senior SEO Lead on progress, risks, and opportunities

Process Improvement & AI

• Use AI tools to speed up research, analysis, briefs, outlines, QA, and reporting, while checking output for accuracy and quality
• Build or improve AI-assisted workflows and automations that save the team time
• Document processes and help build SOPs and QA checklists the team can reuse

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in SEO, content, digital marketing, or a related analytical role
• Working understanding of how search works: keywords, search intent, on-page SEO, internal linking, and indexation
• Hands-on comfort with AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) and a habit of finding new ways to work faster and smarter
• Strong work ethic, ownership, and follow-through: you finish what you start
• Curiosity and coachability: you ask good questions, take feedback well, and apply it quickly
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to write a brief someone else can execute
• Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets and analytics tools
• Interest in how SEO drives leads and revenue, not just rankings
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and check AI output before it goes live

Nice to Have

• Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, construction, equipment, home services, legal, finance, or another lead-generation industry
• Exposure to programmatic SEO or large location-based websites
• Experience writing or editing web content
• Familiarity with WordPress, Elementor, or Airtable as a CMS
• Basic HTML, schema markup, or comfort working alongside developers
• Experience building prompts, AI workflows, or automations for marketing tasks

Tools You’ll Use (no need to know them all on day one)
Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio, Ahrefs, Semrush, Profound, SEOTesting, Screaming Frog or Sitebulb, PageSpeed Insights, WordPress, Airtable, ClickUp, and AI assistants and AI-powered SEO tools.

• You consistently ship high-quality briefs, refreshes, and fixes that move priority pages
• You contribute to growth in qualified organic leads
• You spot problems and opportunities early and bring them forward with a recommendation
• You use AI to multiply your output without sacrificing accuracy or quality
• You earn more ownership over time and grow measurably as a strategist in your first year

First 90 Days

• Learn our client’s brands, services, markets, website portfolio, and SEO history
• Get set up in our tools and learn our workflows, reporting, and QA standards
• Shadow and support the Senior SEO Lead on audits and roadmap work
• Complete keyword research and content briefs for priority page types
• Ship your first content refreshes and on-page improvements
• Help investigate at least one ranking or traffic decline and present what you found
• Build or improve at least one AI-assisted workflow that saves the team time
• Take ownership of a defined set of pages, a page type, or a recurring report
