Job description

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

A Product Experience Lead turns ambiguous, high-stakes problems into products and experiences that ship. You set the product and experience direction, align the people who matter, and make the calls that keep design, engineering, and data teams focused on the right outcomes.

As Associate Director, Product Experience Lead at Kyndryl Vital US, you will lead a flagship data and AI experience for a major enterprise customer. The solution unifies complex IT and operational technology (OT) data into a single source of insight, and it will grow into a first-of-its-kind agentic AI solution that Kyndryl will bring to other customers.

You will own the product's outcomes, direction, and priorities. You will hold the vision, translate it into a roadmap and a clearly ordered backlog, and decide whether each release delivers what it should. You will align senior stakeholders across many parts of the customer's organization, map their needs and journeys, and turn competing priorities into clear decisions. You will define the business case and decide what's specific to this customer and what Kyndryl can reuse with others. You will earn the trust of Kyndryl's technical account leaders and move fast with them.

You will work in close partnership with a senior designer, who brings your experience direction to life, and a technical program manager, who runs the delivery system that turns your priorities into reliable execution. Technical leads own architecture and feasibility, and you'll weigh their input in every product decision.

Beyond this engagement, you will lead product and experience direction on complex application projects across Kyndryl Vital. You'll bring product discipline to a design-led practice and shape how Vital takes ideas from concept to shipped software.

You will bring a contemporary, responsible approach to AI experiences. You'll define where people stay in the loop, how much autonomy agents get, and how the solution earns and keeps user trust, and you'll build those choices into the roadmap from the start.

You'll join a design culture that stands apart at Kyndryl: creative, collaborative, and serious about craft.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Product Ownership: You own product outcomes, direction, and priority. You apply contemporary product practices, including outcome-based roadmaps, continuous discovery, backlog ordering, and clear trade-off decisions.
  • Enterprise Product Experience at Scale: You have led human-centered enterprise software products or experiences at scale, from strategy through launch, with many stakeholders and complex systems.
  • Experience Strategy and Direction: You build journeys, service blueprints, and future-state visions that align business goals, technology capabilities, and human needs. You set the experience direction that design teams bring to life.
  • Business Case and Reuse: You define the value case and success measures for a product, and you know how to shape a solution for one customer into an offering Kyndryl can reuse with others.
  • Discovery and Research: You plan and lead stakeholder and user interviews, and you separate validated problems from requests and assumptions.
  • Stakeholder Leadership and Facilitation: You design and lead workshops and co-creation sessions that align broad, cross-functional groups of senior stakeholders, including difficult ones. When priorities compete, you make the call and bring people with you.
  • Complex Data Experiences: You have shipped products (release and delivery phases) - including User Acceptance Testing
  • Technical Fluency: You hold your own with architects, engineers, and technical account leaders, and you earn their confidence quickly.
  • Human-Centered AI: You can define and hold the vision for an agentic AI experience, including human-in-the-loop design, trust, and transparency, and translate it into a phased roadmap.
  • Agile Delivery Partnership: You understand agile delivery and shape user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps or a similar platform, such as Jira. You partner closely with technical program managers who run the delivery system.
  • Executive Storytelling: You craft clear, compelling narratives about product direction, trade-offs, and progress for executives, sellers, and delivery teams.
