Every time a person visits a doctor or hospital, a surge of data is created. That data is the lifeblood that has the power to deliver insights and the promise to transform our healthcare experience. But today, these data are stuck in old systems and are hard to share, making it difficult to give patients the best possible care and experience they deserve. This creates a frustrating reality for patients who are looking for answers to basic questions: Do I need to see a doctor? If so, which doctor should I see? How much will this cost me? Abacus’ mission is to improve people’s lives by breaking down these silos and liberating healthcare data to make real impact. Abacus believes this is achievable today because of two recent fundamental and unprecedented shifts: the digitization of healthcare data and the advent of cloud computing have given us the ability to securely bring vast amounts of data together to produce powerful insights. We are a fast-growing, values-driven team that cares deeply about improving the healthcare experience. If you like using innovative technologies to solve complex problems and build products from the ground up. Check out our job openings at www.abacusinsights.com/careers/

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Healthcare) to join our Growth Analytics team. This role is ideal for a data professional with 4–5 years of experience who is passionate about turning healthcare data into decisions that drive revenue.

You will be the analytics engine behind our go-to-market motion. You will build the AI-assisted dashboards, forecasts and models that tell leadership where the pipeline stands, where margin is made, and where the next opportunity is. You will also provide hands-on sales operations support to the Sales Director team.

Success in this role looks like dashboards and analysis that leaders rely on, a trusted reputation as the go-to partner for sales and growth analytics, and the ability to turn complex healthcare data into clear, compelling narratives. You will thrive if you bring curiosity, learning agility and a proactive approach in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Your Day to Day

Growth analytics and business intelligence

  • Design, build and maintain AI-assisted dashboards, KPIs and executive reporting in BI tools (Power BI or Tableau), SQL and Excel to track pipeline, bookings, revenue and sales performance
  • Use AI and agentic tools to accelerate analysis, automate recurring reporting and data preparation, and generate insights and narrative summaries, applying human judgment to validate accuracy before anything reaches leadership
  • Analyze pipeline, historical and real-time data to surface trends, develop forecasts, and inform pipeline and revenue planning
  • Build revenue, cost and deal-margin models, and support pricing analysis for our healthcare data products
  • Prepare the data, analytics and demo materials that showcase our payment integrity, medical cost management, value-based care, population health, risk adjustment and HEDIS/Star offerings
  • Provide data and analysis for RFPs and proposals so that every number holds up to scrutiny
  • Track payer, market, competitor and regulatory trends, and translate findings into actionable insights for Sales, Product and executive leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems, reports and dashboards

Sales operations support

  • Maintain CRM documentation and data hygiene, and troubleshoot CRM and tooling issues
  • Support weekly sales calls and pipeline reviews
  • Assist the Sales Director team with demo environments, sales collateral, and ad hoc deal and account analytics
  • Create executive presentations and sales decks with clear, data-driven narratives
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance and GTM teams on analysis and strategy

What You Bring to the Team

  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, consulting or sales operations
  • 2–3+ years working in US healthcare or healthcare data/analytics (payer, provider, vendor, health-tech or consulting)
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building dashboards in a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Hands-on experience using AI and agentic AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot) to build, automate or accelerate analytics and reporting work, with sound judgment about validating AI-generated output
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Baseline financial and business acumen: comfortable with unit economics, margin, pricing and financial reporting
  • Ability to synthesize data into insights and executive-ready communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated learning agility, problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Analytics or a related field

What We Would Like to See, but Not Required

  • Familiarity with payer claims data, healthcare financial concepts or payment integrity
  • Experience reporting from a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Experience building or configuring AI agents, automated workflows or integrations (for example via MCP, APIs or low-code tools)
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms and modern data stack tools

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Competitive leave and benefits
  • Comprehensive health coverage
  • Equity for every employee – share in our success
  • Growth-focused environment – your development matters here
