Job description

Join a lean, high-output team that has delivered more than $700 million in savings and is marching toward $1 billion. This role is for someone who builds real client relationships, keeps accounts current, and makes sure every client request is handled right and on time.

UtiliSave has been an industry leader in utility bill auditing and energy efficiency services for more than 35 years. We are seeking a Client Relations & Collections Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, manage collections and receivables, and keep client projects moving to completion.

Success in this role requires disciplined execution, strong judgment, and a habit of closing loops without being chased. You are the person clients call first, the one who knows where every account stands, and the one who follows up before a small issue becomes a big one.

Our clients are large organizations with significant utility usage, including hospitals, nursing homes, universities, hotels, government facilities, and commercial and residential real estate operators. UtiliSave identifies savings opportunities through deep utility tariff expertise, proprietary systems, and rigorous execution.

Responsibilities

Client relations

•         Act as the primary contact for client inquiries and make sure every request is handled promptly.

•         Communicate with premier clients on a near day-to-day basis.

•         Strengthen client retention by keeping relationships proactive through email, meetings, phone calls, and networking.

•         Support the Client Relations team with client outreach and client-related projects.

•         Manage administrative and client relations activities so nothing falls through the cracks.

Collections and receivables

•         Own all collection activities, including follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past-due accounts, and maintaining cash receipts.

•         Create, implement, and enforce a collections manual that sets clear procedures and improves results.

•         Prepare monthly and quarterly collections reports, including cash and client reports.

Projects and operations

•         Manage client projects from start to finish to ensure high-quality, on-time completion.

•         Work with Marketing to create and draft promotional materials.

•         Conduct research and assist with company events.

•         Manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, plus ad-hoc projects assigned by the CEO and managers.

Requirements

•         1+ years of experience in client service, account management, collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role.

•         Bachelor's degree required.

•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional presence across phone, email, and video.

•         Comfort negotiating with past-due accounts while keeping the relationship intact.

•         Very strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.

•         Ability to manage multiple clients and projects without losing track, missing steps, or getting flustered.

•         Ability to work independently once expectations are clear and collaborate effectively when needed.

•         Strong research, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.

•         Strong proficiency in AI tools, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, plus comfort with common online collaboration tools.

•         Prior experience in professional services, legal, finance, consulting, or a similarly fast-paced environment is a plus.

Position Conditions

This is a full-time remote role with standard hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. You must keep a professional, distraction-free workspace and be reliably online, on time, and reachable during business hours.

You must reside in the United States within one hour of the Eastern Time Zone, and be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. as a citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Benefits

Salary: $35,000 to $40,000 per year, with increases tied to performance and how quickly you master the role.

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; and paid time off.

Training will be provided on UtiliSave's systems, workflows, and processes. This role offers real growth potential for someone who shows reliability, initiative, and strong execution.
