At Luscii, we work on several applications within the OMRON Digital Health Circle, including the Luscii Thuismeten app and OMRON Connect. Together with our colleagues, we build technology that takes the burden off patients and healthcare professionals, creating more space for care. As an iOS Developer, you will help make this happen by building and improving the mobile applications that connect people, devices and healthcare.
We create technology to make healthcare more accessible, as our digital health solutions help healthcare professionals monitor patients remotely, so people can receive the right care in the right place. As an iOS Developer, you will help us build and improve the mobile applications that make this possible.
Your work goes beyond writing code. You will help shape technical direction, share your expertise with colleagues and explore new technologies that can improve our apps. At Luscii, our Holacratic way of working also gives you the autonomy to take initiative, pick up responsibilities and contribute beyond your core role.
The applications you build need to work reliably in a healthcare context, where stability and usability matter. You are going to make sure that our apps remain performant, scalable and easy to maintain, while exploring new ways to improve the experience for patients and healthcare professionals. By combining solid engineering with thoughtful technical choices, you will help us continue to develop its digital healthcare platform.
As iOS Developer at Luscii, you will combine hands-on development with technical ownership, working closely with colleagues across development, QA and support to build, improve and maintain our applications. You turn ideas into useful, intuitive digital health solutions. Whether you are exploring a new technology, building a proof of concept or solving a production issue, you will have the autonomy to make technical decisions and the opportunity to influence how we build our apps.
What you will be doing:
Develop and optimize our iOS applications using Swift, with a focus on performance, reliability and user experience.
Contribute to application architecture, technical design and the continued development of our modular codebase.
Build prototypes and proof of concepts to explore ideas and validate technical solutions early.
Create intuitive user interfaces and experiences tailored to iOS devices.
Develop and maintain features that communicate with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices.
Troubleshoot production issues, review code and help colleagues make sound implementation decisions.
Explore relevant developments in mobile technology, including SwiftUI, and assess how they can improve our applications.
Read more about working at Luscii and how we work at Luscii/OMRON. Together, we are working on a mission to create space for care. Freedom, autonomy and ownership are of great importance in this. You are responsible for your own results and work according to the principles of Holacracy.
Salary: € 4.600 - € 5.900 gross per month (based on 32 hours per week – that’s full-time at Luscii).
Remote-first: Work from anywhere in The Netherlands. We stay connected through monthly in-person team days called Assemblii.
Flexible setup: Create your own ideal workspace. Whatever works best for you - we’ve got you covered here.
… probably doesn't exist, but if you can tick most of the checkboxes below, please apply! We are looking for somebody who is comfortable in taking ownership and making well-considered decisions independently. You enjoy the autonomy to shape your work and responsibilities, while actively seeking collaboration and alignment with others.
You know when to step up, when to involve colleagues and when to move forward decisively. Working independently does not mean working in isolation for you. You feel at ease being both a self-starter and a committed team player, contributing to shared goals while taking responsibility for your own domain. You value open communication, transparency, and mutual trust.
You have at least 5 years of experience as an iOS or mobile developer.
You have a relevant bachelor’s degree in e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable field, combined with experience working in an Agile environment.
You have experience writing unit tests and/or UI tests for mobile applications.
You understand object-oriented software design and architectural patterns such as MVVM.
You have experience with web services, cloud technologies and APIs, and are comfortable debugging issues involving memory management, multithreading and networking.
You are open to working in a Holacratic organization and curious about our way of organizing work, roles, and responsibilities;
English is our primary language for all internal communication at Luscii, so you're fluent in that language.

We organise three interviews for each vacancy. It is an extensive process, but we want to ensure that there is a good fit in regards to a potential collaboration, our culture and our way of working. All interviews are conducted online and the entire procedure is planned in advance to keep momentum.
