Technical Business Analyst (Remote)

Full-time, Virtual Atlanta Georgia, Ohio

The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for working with business users to understand business needs as it relates to data requirements. The BA will also be responsible for conducting large scale data analysis to identify data enrichment opportunities and data quality improvements.  The person will work with development teams to  translate data needs assessments into functional requirements and monitor progress thru the development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs
• Conduct data needs assessments and data analysis to understand data patterns, data quality issues and data enrichment opportunities
• Facilitate calls and meetings with development teams to review and refine functional requirements for development
• Develop processes and dashboards to monitor data quality and quality trending metrics
• Highlight quality issues to stakeholders and ensure the integrity of the data. Publish data quality reports to leadership
• Communicate with business users and stakeholders, providing updates on development status
• Assist in system testing, user acceptance testing, and training as needed
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Prior experience as a business analyst or in a similar technical role, preferably in the data arena
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, data mapping
• Proven technical skills with data analysis, data profiling tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• You understand software development methodologies and are able to work with development workflow tools
• You have the ability to manage data projects from inception to completion
• You are able to use data Visualization tools to transform data analysis results into insightful dashboards

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Technical Business Analyst is between $70,000 and $75,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
