Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring a Senior Field Evaluator on behalf of a client, a multi-state early childhood education and family services nonprofit serving North and Central Florida and rural Georgia, for a two-year independent evaluation of a major foundation-funded investment in the organization's growth. The Senior Field Evaluator is the evaluation team's on-the-ground lead in Florida and Georgia, conducting site visits, observations, interviews and focus groups to document how funded initiatives are being implemented, and bringing early childhood program expertise to monthly strategy meetings with the client's executive leadership and senior leadership team. Funded initiatives include facility renovation and modernization, safety and technology upgrades, classroom expansion and playground improvements, sensory classrooms and adaptive equipment for children with disabilities, workforce training, parent workforce pathways and father engagement. The role works alongside a lead evaluator, a project manager and a family engagement specialist, and maintains the independence and objectivity expected of an external evaluator.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct in-person site visits, about two per month (roughly 48 over 24 months), at early learning centers and regional offices across North and Central Florida and east Georgia, coordinating schedules with client staff and grouping visits by region to limit travel.
- Document implementation progress and fidelity for funded initiatives through structured observations, staff interviews, walkthroughs and review of program records, using the evaluation team's data-collection tools.
- Facilitate interviews and focus groups with staff, parents and community stakeholders, and support administration of stakeholder surveys in English and Spanish.
- Follow informed consent and notice procedures for all survey, interview and focus group participants.
- Help design and refine site visit protocols, data-collection tools and implementation fidelity measures within the evaluation framework, and help set baselines for initiatives without existing data.
- Write concise site visit summaries and contribute field findings, stakeholder feedback and participant stories to quarterly progress reviews, annual impact reports and the final two-year report.
- Participate in monthly strategy meetings with the client's executive leadership and quarterly senior leadership team meetings, bringing field observations and early childhood program expertise to discussions of implementation, data use and course correction.
- Support presentations of findings to the client's board, the funding foundation and community partners as requested, in person or virtually.
- Work only with aggregate or de-identified data provided by the client, follow the client's data security requirements, and keep all evaluation records in approved, secure systems.
- Maintain an objective, independent evaluator role: assess progress and advise, while client staff remain responsible for implementing improvements.

- Experience presenting findings or recommendations to senior leadership, boards or funders.
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, education, social work, public policy, evaluation or a related field.
- Must reside in North or Central Florida, hold a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, and be able to travel regularly across the region, including occasional overnight trips to east Georgia.
- Available about 10 hours per week on average, with flexibility to schedule full site visit days.
- Must pass a criminal background check, a national sex offender registry check and a child abuse registry check.
