• Take responsibility for code quality, testing, debugging, deployment and ongoing operation of the software you build
• Improve existing systems and identify opportunities to simplify, modernise or strengthen our codebase
• Provide thoughtful code reviews and technical guidance to other engineers
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards across the team
• Explore and apply new technologies, including foundation models and agent-based workflows, where they can meaningfully improve our products

• The ability to independently work through complex problems and make good technical decisions without needing detailed direction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly
• A track record of helping other engineers improve through mentoring, code review or technical leadership
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
