Senior SAP Functional Consultant (FI/CO & S/4HANA)

Tech Stack:

SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI, SAP CO, SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP Treasury, SAP Asset Accounting, SAP CO-PA, SAP BW, SAP Activate

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as an SAP Functional Consultant.

• Strong hands-on expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • SAP FI

  • SAP CO or SAP S/4HANA Finance.

• Good understanding of relevant business processes and SAP configuration.

• Experience with SAP implementation, migration, rollout or enhancement projects.

• Understanding of cross-module integration and enterprise business processes.

• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working in international, cross-functional environments.

• English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have:

• Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.

• Knowledge of SAP MM, SD, Treasury, Asset Accounting or CO-PA.

• Experience with SAP BW, financial reporting or consolidation solutions.

• Understanding of IFRS, HGB or US GAAP reporting requirements.

• Experience with SAP Activate methodology.

• Previous experience in consulting or large international organisations.

• SAP certifications.

• German or French at C1 level.

• Knowledge of other European languages.

Project Description:

We are looking for experienced SAP Functional Consultants to join our network of SAP professionals and support international clients in SAP implementation, optimisation and digital transformation projects. We welcome candidates specialising in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), or broader SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.

Please note: This is a full-time freelance project engagement with an initial contract duration of 1 year.

Scope of Services:

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective SAP functional solutions.

• Configure, implement and optimise SAP modules, with a focus on FI, CO and S/4HANA Finance.

• Participate in SAP implementation, migration, rollout and transformation projects.

• Support end-to-end business processes and integration between SAP modules.

• Conduct fit-gap analysis, functional testing and system troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams and solution architects.

• Prepare functional specifications, documentation and process improvement recommendations.

• Support users and business teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
