Job description

Would you like to make a difference by shaping advanced protection systems that help safeguard critical infrastructure and enhance national and global security? In this role, you will act as the key technical authority across complex, multidisciplinary projects and help deliver real-world solutions that matter. Come and join us!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes. We continue to evolve our advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry to deliver real-world solutions that matter to the security of people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Lead Systems Engineer, you will play a central role in the development and delivery of Critical Infrastructure Protection solutions, acting as the technical lead throughout the full system lifecycle. From early project scoping and requirements definition to testing, validation, and customer acceptance, you will help ensure that solutions are technically sound, integrated, and aligned with operational needs.

You will become part of our Projects & Solutions department within R&D and work closely with software, hardware, mechanical, and systems engineering specialists. The team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous development, creating an environment where people and technology grow together. We care about the work we do and the people behind it.

Technical expertise is important, but your mindset matters just as much. If you are analytical, curious, collaborative, and able to balance technical ambition with practical delivery, you could be a great addition to our team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the technical lead and primary customer interface for technical matters across Critical Infrastructure Protection projects
  • Translating operational needs into system requirements, solution designs, and engineering plans
  • Driving system design, integration, verification, and validation activities across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Coordinating stakeholders, ensuring technical alignment, and maintaining traceability throughout the development lifecycle
  • Leading system-level testing activities and support the continued evolution of products together with Product Management and engineering teams
  • Mentoring and supporting engineering colleagues while contributing to proposals, project estimates, and technical decision-making.

Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
  • Extensive experience working with multidisciplinary systems engineering and complex integrated solutions
  • Experience collaborating closely with software development teams and working throughout the V-model development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of sensor technologies, system integration, and preferably areas such as sensor fusion, computer vision, or signal processing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience from airports, offshore environments, wind turbine installations, power plants, or other critical infrastructure domains. Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments, including holding an active security clearance, is also considered a plus.

Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.

As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level.
