Reporting directly to the Global Engineering Lead, the role will provide regional leadership of engineering operations, technical governance, asset management, reliability and continuous improvement, supporting the delivery of integrated facilities management services across the portfolio.

The role will work closely with the Account Director as the primary regional stakeholder, maintaining strong alignment between global engineering standards, regional business priorities and client expectations.

In addition to engineering leadership, the position will provide oversight and coordination of regional project delivery activities, ensuring that engineering and project programs are effectively planned, prioritised and executed in support of operational and business objectives. This includes leadership of the Regional Projects Lead, who will maintain functional alignment with the wider Projects vertical.

The successful candidate will bring strong engineering credentials, broad facilities management experience, and a demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver technical and non-technical programs in complex, multi-country environments.

Reporting & Key Relationships

  • Direct Reporting: Global Engineering Lead

  • Primary Regional Matrix Reporting: Account Director

  • Regional Leadership: Regional Engineering Teams and Regional Projects Lead

  • Functional Alignment: Global Engineering Platform, Engineering Governance, Reliability Engineering, Critical Engineering, Sustainability and Projects functions

  • Key Stakeholders: Client and JLL account leadership, country facilities management teams, specialist service providers and relevant client stakeholders

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Provide regional engineering leadership and technical oversight across the client's JAPAC portfolio, ensuring consistent, reliable and effective engineering service delivery.

  • Lead, support and develop regional engineering teams, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, technical competencies, performance management and succession planning.

  • Drive the implementation of global engineering standards, operational procedures, best practices and technical governance requirements across all locations.

  • Ensure the effective operation, maintenance and management of building services and critical infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generators, HV/LV systems and associated infrastructure.

  • Drive engineering compliance and assurance programs, ensuring adherence to applicable statutory requirements, local regulations, codes of practice, contractual obligations and client/JLL safety and operational standards.

  • Ensure Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) compliance achieves the established target of 95% completion by month-end, alongside effective management of reactive maintenance activities within agreed service levels.

  • Act as the regional escalation point for engineering issues, providing technical direction, coordinating incident response and ensuring timely resolution of operational risks.

  • Oversee the performance and quality of specialist service providers, ensuring engineering works are completed safely, effectively and in accordance with required standards.

  • Ensure appropriate engineering procedures, operational contingency arrangements, emergency response plans and switching protocols are established, maintained and implemented by suitably qualified personnel.

  • Drive consistency of engineering service delivery across the account, identifying opportunities for standardisation, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Asset Management, Reliability & Engineering Governance

  • Lead regional engineering asset management initiatives, ensuring asset data, equipment records, maintenance strategies and associated documentation are accurate, complete and maintained within relevant systems.

  • Collaborate with site and regional teams to improve asset data integrity, equipment lifecycle visibility and the effective utilisation of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and associated reporting platforms.

  • Drive asset reliability and lifecycle management strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance, condition assessments, failure analysis and risk-based maintenance planning.

  • Develop and maintain a rolling five-year capital asset replacement (CAR) plan, informed by asset condition, performance, reliability, criticality and lifecycle data.

  • Identify, assess and manage engineering and infrastructure risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans, escalation and tracking through to resolution.

  • Provide engineering input into capital investment planning, technical specifications, project justifications, asset replacement strategies and long-term infrastructure improvements.

  • Support regional energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental performance initiatives in alignment with client objectives and global programs.

Regional Program & Project Delivery Oversight

  • Ensure effective coordination between engineering, facilities management, project delivery teams and specialist service providers to minimise operational disruption and achieve intended project outcomes.

  • Monitor regional project delivery performance, including key milestones, financial commitments, quality, risks and escalations, working with the Projects vertical to maintain alignment with established project management standards and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure completed projects are appropriately commissioned, documented and transitioned into ongoing facilities operations, including asset data updates, maintenance requirements and operational handover.

Regional Stakeholder, Financial & People Management
